To say demand is likely to outstrip supply would be an understatement...

That thing is seriously freakin' cool.

Question

Okay, I do not own any energon combainers, so I am not exactly sure how they combine, so I do not see on Grimlock and Swoop where they would combain together. Could someone help me out here?

Just saw These pics

And well, just looking at him - there's no Spark crystal. I wonder if it's actually for the "Robot masters" line?

And the third head on his back would serve which purpose then?

Besides, when was the last time a Takara proto or test shot leaked?

Well, I don't see a third head, but I'd bet a gimic, as that would be an obscure place to put the spark. Of course, Hasbro would want to put it on his chest in Robot mode, And that would end up as it's croch.

As for the Takara leak - true, not often, but, This doesn't have the feel of Energon, and well, it's too much effort for hasbro

Yeah, I'm also starting to suspect that this is from Cybertron or Robotmasters. I don't think there's been a single mold in Energon without a spark crystal.

Oh I really like Grimlock's G1 colour scheme. Swoop's robot mode is cool...

If they're Takara it'd pretty much confirm that the Dinobot moulds were unsalvageable—Robotmasters haven't altered that much; they're still appreciably based on the previous moulds.

I'm betting on end of Energon / start of subsequent series, particularly if there's any validity to the combining rumour.

Look at what they did with the Starscream mold\figure. It's a massive overhaul, almost the same as Grimlock here.

My only observation with energon is - while they have done homages to certian character (Prime, Springer, Hound, Skyfire, ETC) there's never been an exact look alike.

The first set of pictures looked awful, but its amazing what a bit of extra paint can do. A damn cool toy, and I'm beting Furman will be happy to get his favorite charecter into the Energon/Cybertron comic (unless its a Robot Master of course...)

Here's my take. i think that Grimlock dosen't have a spark crystal because perhaps he and swoop will no doubt be the first Transformers built anad brought to life on Earth, but this is kind of based on if the character are going to be introduced in Energon
