Default Upcoming TF movie writer to be announced soon

From Don Murphy:

Quote:
Hey there here's what we got----

Transformers- we're cloing in on a writer and choosing to go with a younger guy who grew up with the mythology.like all of you fans. Should be announced in the coming weeks. Dreamworks and Spielberg very much still want the film for Summer '06 so it'll be hard- but GOOD.

Also on the main site under "Human Stuff" "Make Don Murphy Happy" I've listed a bunch of very obscure stuff that I've been looking for for like forever. If any of you can help, email me at my hotmail account.

Under this thread I'd like to hear replies to the following-

"In the 1980s I grew up on Transformers. I loved GI Joe and dug He Man. I also liked a hell of a lot.....????"

What kind of books, comics or properties does the Transformers generation want to see make it to the big screen?

Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Ooooh, Dreamworks and Speilberg getting involved is a damn good thing. Indicates that a movie that requires good special effects will get 'em, unlike so many other movies out there trying to use CGI today.

I'd have thought they would've learned their lesson with Mick.

Uhm... hasn't this been established since back when the movie was first officially announced via Hasbro's press release?

What makes you think it isn't Mick that they're talking about?

At least it would get him off the ongoing...

...and onto something with much more exposure.

Yeah, that's the answer to my prayers.

Mick is not an established screen play writer.

This has the potential to be good or a complete wankfest.

I think they announced the intention but it wasn't signed and sealed. Still isn't from what I gather—those named will probably walk if the project runs into difficulty.

You should try harder. That kind of thing leads to not knowing about the LOTR:FOTR special edition until you've opened the dvd.

Zemeckis may direct the film.

Unfortunately, as much as I hope this turns out well, I'm still preparing for the worst.

I'd suggest you do the same.
