You're a talented writer. I can see you writing well for something like NEXTWAVE or Deadpool.

Oh good, Pun!

You're spreading the comic around, get the word out!

Now I've got two places to see this (in case one board breaks down...it happens.)

I'm Autobot032 over at TFans.

Looooove the comic.

Thanks Rosalie. I do the fanfic thing sometimes, so I tend to have fun with dialogue. Glad you like the way this story is written.

A032, good to see you here. And yes, a backup is always a good thing.

So yeah, this will be my Fortress Maximus, being I don't feel like putting up some $500+ for the real thing. Yeah, he's a different color, but that probably won't bother too many people.

I guessed the "peacekeeper". My other guess would have been Omega Supreme (as seen in US Marvel issue #19).

I love the little minibot details on the background.

Thumbs up

That's and amazing and really interesting work. Good job, Pun-3X!
I'm eager to see the decepticon's base and where is located, as well as the Gundam's one too...

I can't help but feel you should "Update" Prime. Yeah, the original one was a cool figure, but he just looks a bit underwhelming for how you've cast him, a bit too bulky for the poses you're trying to put him in too. You've done a good job with him though.

I'd recommend a classics Prime and some metallic paint if you do think of upgrading...

Upgrades are always a posibility. Other characters are 'scheduled' for them, but that'll come later.

Prime's is one I'm rather...struggling with. I'm not really happy with any of the versions out there for one reason or another. (design/size/etc.) Even this one does feel old. But I'm kinda thinking his 'iconic' status with this mold might help him hold up better.

And I forgot the next series of installments:

I like the Optimus Prime mold choice. Afterall, a lot of the Autobots shown in Pun's story are from G1, and using a G1 Prime it makes sense ( at least for me ). Also, is the Prime with the Matrix inside and the extra back, so it's a slighter better version than the original one, so it's an upgrade ( ok, sort of... ).

But if a replacement is necessary... well, I agree with Rosalie; Classics Prime would fit well (and Laser Hero Prime too! ).

Actually, yeah, Laser Prime would be marvellous, he would fit perfectly. There's a certain quirkiness to the design I think would fit better than the original.
Try to get the Japanese "Battle Convoy" or just get some silver paint and repaint his chest though, the grey plastic looks quite tacky.

Yeah, that re-issue Prime is a bit beter... I'm stuck with my G2 Prime :P

I like the way you're playing up the "They're toys" thing. At first it just seemed like a "they're real!" with constant 4th wall breaking. You could do something really interesting with the storyline; you should probably read "Kid Radd", it's something similiar.

Care if I break this down into a few threads*? It's becoming quite a heavy download for my home connection.

You could if you'd like. I guess I just wanted to contain it in one thread. But yeah, I was afraid it might become pic-heavy per page.

There's another board I post the story at, but I get more replies. As a result, the comic pages per forum page isn't as bad.

If you'd like to, I can start up new threads from here on out, breaking it where I feel it's appropriate. Let me know what works.

Just one thing I noticed... "Speedbreaker's" white areas are very milky and don't really suit the rest of his colours, it makes him look a bit like a prototype in robot mode. If you could tint them a bit silver or paint them black or matte white altogether they wouldn't clash so bad.

Hmm. Never really noticed that. Those are his normal mold colors. A silver matte tone wouldn't be so bad (darkish gray would probably be better), but personally, I think he looks all right in white.

I might do something later for him. An "upgrade" or some such. We'll have to see.

Actually, you might be able to solve the "glow-in-the-dark-milkiness" by tweaking the colour balance a little. Try increasing the brightness a tad and the contrast a little more, or use something like "Clarify" or Photo enhance.

Let me take a picture and show you -

http://tftaba.angeltowns.net/chapter1/ch1.018.jpg

Now, this one is pretty horrible for it. But if I take it, tweak the contrast and enhance it -

http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/5655/ch1018ely2.jpg

It's much better. The white still seems luminous and a little milky, but the "glow" is spread better all over the figure. You also see less of the "Dark" parts of the white(which are the main offender in the milkiness).

I think it's a lot better. What I did was raise the contrast about 35%, the brightness around 18%, and lowered the blue component by about 3%.

Most of the panels on this page - http://tftaba.angeltowns.net/chapter1/ch1.043.jpg look okay, apart from the last one, where he looks very "Milky".

Want another opinion? For me the tweaked page looks worse.

Err, how exactly? That's the kind of tweaking a lot of action figure/photo comics get anyway...

Well, I do some tweaking to photos every now and again. Primarily the ones in the black shelves. Indoor light creates a yellowish glow, so I change the color balance to get something a littler whiter/bluer.

Unfortunately, I think the contrast on your enhanced image is a little to strong. Too many details overpower the picture. It does create an interesting look to the white in one of the panels, but at a cost to the rest. At least, that's how it looks to me.

I do appreciate the feedback. There are plenty of different ways to showcase images. Personally, I like the way it looks for now. Not to say changes won't be made as I discover new little tricks here and there.

Anyway, to save on loading time (so many images in a thread) I'm making a new one. It can be found HERE.
