When they say "7200 products down to 5200 over the next three years", what exactly do they mean by products? Lines? Sub-lines? Individual figures?

Aside from that, it's written it wonderfully blurry business jargon

I believe individual figures. And all it did was tell us that takara was overstaffed.

Will this mean better distribution of Transformers in the UK?

Um, no, no and then again no. Sadly, takara\tomy only affect the japanese market. Hasbro UK is not affected in any way. Remains sucky.

Probably not. Hasbro controls distribution for everything outside of Japan, I think. I know they definitely control Europe.

For the next year, the only upcoming TF toys confirmed so far are:

e-Hobby Galvatron II (G1 Galvatron reissue) in January
Beast Wars 10th Anniversary BWR-1 Convoy & Megatron set in February
C-00 Primus in February
Galaxy Force DVD vol. 9 exclusive "Minerva" repaint of Chromia in February
Dengeki Hobby Magazine mail order exclusive black Robot Masters Lio Convoy in February
TFC-21 Broadcast (G1 Blaster reissue) in February
Reissue Battle Convoy (G2 Laser Prime) in March
Hybrid Style G1 Convoy in March
e-Hobby Twincast in April

And maybe still Binaltech Wildrider/Black Widow.

This, of course, taking into consideration that Takara usually only announce new toys a few months in advance anyway.

And from BotCon, we already know that Takara are taking a break from (mainline) Transformers. That means no new show for 2006, which will allow Hasbro to catch up with Cybertron.

there must be some way to bring transformers back to japan in 2007 with a new anime after TF cybertron is through here next year.here is a hint: it a fusion of elements between previous brave (yusha) animes, late 80`s japanese transformers shows and a very old movie/2005 remake, your`s,mine and ours (you know, the movie with 18 siblings and 2 couples).
