This is all I took. The lighting wasn't very good, and I was kind of pissed off so I didn't put much effort into getting a good shot. Plus my batteries were about to give out so I was doing the "turn on click turn off" shuffle.

Addendum: I just thought up a better one. I'm now going with Quackimus Maximus.

Are you sure that the Primus figure (still a guess) was actually ready? I've also heared that several major chains are refusing to carry the supreme size - or at least in large quantities, which may cause Hasbro to rethink the figure's viability in the market.

(I mean, HOW many Unicrons were out there? Are they buried in the same landfill as millions of ET and Pac Man carts?)

I've got a feeling that this has sod-all to do with any leaking, and much more to Hasbro wanting a little more time mulling over the figure. Nothing more than that.

See, for that idea to really work, Hasbro would not have released Supreme Starscream and stuck with the smaller figure. Primus is going to be a big seller, Hasbro knows it - it just depends on the availibility, how many they produce (IE don't over saturate the market) and the advertising to go with it. I don't know about the states - but up here, the marketing for TF's has been next to nil....

Now i wish Takara will release photos before Botocn by mistake just to screw Hasbro up.

I recall Hasbro saying they are working on a toy a year or 2 before releasing it, thus the chances Primus isn't ready is almost none exsistant.

They work on a toy right up until it's shipping. And, like I said, it could be any one of several things that caused Hasbro to delay the figure's presentation. They may not have had the patent on the figure's design... Aaron may have been drunk that weekend.. maybe the planned presented is the sod who got fired... I dunno...

Just saying that I find it unlikely that the leak, where a couple of hundred people have seen it (and then only as an animation model), would have caused Hasbro to cancel the showing of the toy itself. Something else had to be up.

Probably because the pic is out, and the toy's still got prototyping stages to go through... by BotCon they can have a more finished display piece, and it'll be a real show-stealer.

Pics of the Palisades booth...

http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=albu...ze=800&start=0

War Within Optimus Prime is a regular release.

The downscaled Megatron is an SDCC/Palisades Toys Collectors Club exclusive.

Ravage was at one time planned as a BotCon exclusive, but now it seems he's a regular release?

Bumblebee is a BotCon exclusive.

Shockwave should come out any day by now.

Why would you even want that? Have you been paying attention to one of the likely reasons Hasbro didn't showcase the Primus figure?

Because I want to see the figure already, and I truly belive the only reason they are doing this is to give Botcon some extra meaning this year. Hasbro should've just said Botcon in the first place instead of this afterthought move....

I honestly think everyone's reading a bit too much into things here... Seems like the figure may not have been ready, or the presentation plans changed at the last minute. Has there been a convention with Hasbro yet that hasn't had a change like that?

My thought is that they had a Primus prototype ready, but it wasn't as polished as the CGI that was leaked, so it would have been anticlimatic. Now they're going to finish the toy before releasing it.

Either that, or they looked at the numbers of people coming to Botcon and wanted to beef it up.

Man, looking at the pics from this convention, for the first time in my life I feel a strong desire to be at one. Not just for the TF booths, but all the booths. This is the first I've heard of this thing, and it really blows my mind. I could spend days in that place.

It's like the 'kid in me's" ultimate dream.
