There is a button on him that makes his sword and headlights (possibly other things the battery on my friends ran out years ago so I'm not sure) glow.

The button is on Prime's back/the top of the cab. As tahukanuva says, it lights up his headlights. It also turns on a light in his right fist which lights up either his sword or the business ends of his gun when either one is inserted in his hand, much the same way Armada Prime's super mode would do. This is pretty much the same light gimmick the other G2 Laser Rods and Laser Cycles had.

i do, i think black is an unibot color, it looks good on everyone.
G1 prime colors would help the mold too.
