Default [RUMOR] Biomechanical Transformers in live-action movie?

http://www.iesb.net/dreamworks2006/022106.php

Say what?

Needless to say, until we hear a definite "yes" or "no" on this from Don Murphy, the writers or Michael Bay, I'd suggest everyone to take it with a huge grain of salt.

Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Read it earlier but the page appeared to be rubbish.

From what I was told, they are trying to put something together that would sound somewhat scientifically plausible.

The Transformers are going to be Biomechanical?! WTF?!
Scientifically plausible = biomechanical?

Well, no.

It's just someone scratching around for traffic to their site...

I believe this is from the same guy that brought you the stalkertastic Michael Bay video interview.

Depends on what they mean by it... if it's real anyway. But if we start seeing Power Rangers again...

Eh, doesn't matter, they don't even know who the CAST is yet. And it's supposed to be 2007? Feh.

Wouldn't a machine that is sentient and able to move about and function autonomously already technically be biomechanical?

It's my understanding that the TFs in the new movie will have vehicle alt-modes. What purpose would giving them organic parts serve and how the hell does that lend plausibility?

No, biomechanical is used to designate a combination of biological and mechanical part, something like RoboCop .... but this doesn't make TF more credible.

It could explain from where the TF come from ... the original people start to add mecha part to their body, then radically redesign their structure, almost entirely missing their organic nature, and rebuild their planet. At some point, a group start to develope plans of war ..... YES, this is credible

Unless you look up the actual definition of the word. Then it just basically means "How the body of anything that lives works"

Love it!

Because neither the cartoon nor comic had biological/mechanical fusions. Not like Headmasters or Pretenders or Dr Archvillain (or whatever).

Spike's going to have a mechanical arm! Whooo!

Okay, bored now.

Is it me or does the author seem to be under the impression that Bay is the scriptwriter?

I hope the movie doesn't end with Optimus Prime reformatting Cybertron.

What if they had brains instead of processors? I mean, that'd go against everything that had been said about Transformers before but...would it really be a bad change, or at the very least a change that we couldn't get used to?

I think I'd prefer processors to brains but only because of continuity. It certainly wouldn't be a change that I'd despise...I don't think.

The question would be "where did the brains come from?", though, and then you have some bollocks like the Transformers being humankind's descendants from billions of years in the arse or something.
