Prime doesn't look great, but at least the gun can be stored in vehicle mode. He looks better than Megatron aswell.

Yes, he's a deluxe. So is Megatron. His truck mode does suck, just as much as THS Prime's and RM Prime's, but he's cheaper and he comes with a nice Megatron. Like Megatron, he has a push-button gimmick, though his is more like Supercon Prime's action feature, from what I can tell.

Looking at the Megatank, if that hand spins, like it looks like it does, it's a shame he didn't get released sooner, as he'd have made a pretty sweet botcon chopperface.

Yeah, that's a pretty good take on the RM mould. And considering it comes with a tank Megatron (even if it looks like Bludgeon) it should sell pretty well.

I was going to kitbash an 8" Knock off of the RM Prime, but seeing this guy makes me feel like I can do half the work now to get the desired look I want. I'm just wondering if the 'deluxe' version is going to be too short for me or not. (I can deal with less than the 8", but not by too much)

Optimus Prime vs. Megatron two-pack now in packaging, courtesy of Beast_wars of AcToys.

I'm not posting a direct link since AcToys appears to contain a virus.

Megatron still doesn't look great but I may get the set. Optimus looks quite good but I hope the power punch action doesn't affect articulation...

The 'power punch' seems to be the torso joint, so it wouldn't effect the arms, lets, etc.

As for Megs, it's pretty good, and I like it a LOT better than the Voyager 'nerf' version. And, also, paint that puppy tan and teal, add a sword, and you've got Bludgeon. (At least the RID version).

Man, I was right! It spins! If only it came out a year earlier! It'd have been perfect for dinobot. Perhaps I'll do a little kitbashing if I end up scraping up enough to get the BW set, a second set of this and another armada hoist (what do you think I'm going to chop up con dinobot? ).

EDIT: Maybe I'll just pick up OP, Rhinox, Rattrap, Megatron, Waspy and then kitbash a dinobot or something.

No there aren't. The Hasbro news story dates from

And the pictures that weren't there originally (Bumblebee, Astrotrain's third mode) have been added there not long after.

Jetfire looks absolutely phenomenal! I think he beats Bumblebee for the coolest in the line so far, from the photos - and I'm a diehard Bumblebee fan!

(Oh, and not impressed by Prime Vs Megatron, alas. Prime just looks like RM Convoy's lesser brother, while I still prefer Archforce (G2 Hero Megatron) to this Megatron tank incarnation... but certainly most of the Classics line looks great... would like to see more of Grimlock...)
