hmm i get a lot of 404 errors.... thats never good... looking at the pic that was attached tho... it would be awsome if it was real.. it cast a huge shadow for very little light hitting it.. plus the shadow looks to be in the wrong direction.. also theres appers that there inst enough natural light to not need a flash and there is no flash shadow...or reflection... or i could just be wrong

I think that (apon a closer look) its a fake. If you ask me its the feet that give it away. Who ever did it was a pro though is you ask me, mind you I might be wrong.

Default Possible new alternator?

Apparently, a Mini Cooper was made into a very familiar TF from the original series. This you'll just have to read to believe.

http://www.r50rd.co.uk/research/internal/v2i/engin/

It's obvious this is a fake but some have wondered (Seibertron and gizmodo.com) if this is some possible advertising technique for a new alternator.

Like everyone has said, if it's real then... wow...

If it's fake, then they should hire those guys for that Transformer's live action movie that's rumoured...

It's widely known that 10/9 people can't count.

If I'm not satisfied with my free samples can I get my money back?

I tend to doubt it, if only because the design is so primitive.

I didn't really flag this as TF news since I got it through Slashdot... but I suppose there's a chance it might tie-in with the Alternator project somewhere along the line.

Take with a pinch of salt, anyway...

its most definatlyu fake and the guy doing it is a pro, the one thing that really gives it away is the "car stopping test" its easier to tell that its fake in that one because if it sbeing pushed back by the car and its feet has anything on them no matter what, if its rubber it should be skidding, which it isnt and if its metal it should be sparking which isnt happening, so that what really gives it away, cehck for yourselves because i may be wrong, but im 99% sure its fake.

It seems that it is advertising.

A whois lookup on r50rd.co.uk returns the address:

6 darblay street
london
W1V 8DM
GB

A quick search for this address on Google reveals:

Martyn Gould Productions, 6 D'Arblay St, London, W1F 8DN, UK

On a page titled: "Film and Television - Post Production, Commercials"

I just realised something, if it is REAL, scientists and Tf fans won't be the only ones interested in this project. One word.
