I'm gonna have to go with Cliffjumper on this one.

Beyond that, yes. It's acceptable.

The whole thing is likely to be very easy to prove whichever way - look at the tracking information avaliable (and discussed) on the comic sales.

I just don't like the way the bet's set up so Neale can just sit there and collect his money, while for Max to win he has to scan newspapers and crap. I mean, sure, that's the easiest way of finding it out, but if no definitive conclusion can be drawn, surely the bet is void...

How would the original movie time sheet be exchanged, for example? Something like that could be "lost in the post". Surely there's some sort of cinema listings site which could be agreed on as above the bet?

www.hollywood.com

To clarify, any listings in any first run theatres, yes?

I considered that, but it'll be easier for you to prove that there's one out than it would be for me to prove a negative. Otherwise you could welch by claiming that I didn't look in Oskaloosa or something.

Edit - www.hollywood.com should suffice.

Also, I should caveat, though it should be obvious, US runs only. International releases don't count.

Remember, too, this is not professional gambling or gaming. This is a casual bet between two friends (to stretch the term, I guess)... so it's closed.

AICN has pulled the images (per the request of their source, NOT the movie studio) so once again I missed the boat on seeing leaked images.
A robot swamp thing you say? I think I can imagine what that looks like...sort of...

Lastly, we may want to check the law. $100 in currency may actually be illegal for one (or both) of us (Colorado is iffy on the law), but we'll work out something in kind as we get closer to that date.

Anyway, I seen a picture of it on Seibertron.com, they're not too pleased with it either. It looks alright, just not very "traditional".

So what's the problem with Hollywood.com as proof? Easy to check for both of you, easy to verify. A "physical" listing could be 'lost in transit' to the advantage of either party.

If it's a bet between two "friends", what does the law have to do with it? If anything, it's Canadian law you should be consulting...

He kind of looks...different. Menacing, even. A bit like Power rangers.

Alien jet mode looks better than most Megatron alt modes out there...

However, he and Scorponok share some design elements, namely, all the armour panels that go up and down as if somebody wrapped him up.

Look at the positive side of things...no kibble at all

Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

Geeze....
That is just...

I just found out why megatron isn't getting much screentime.

I have a sudden loss of all desire to see this film.

Looks kinda like a cylon.

Since the image in the original url has been removed, I haven't seen it. Given everything else I've seen, I can honestly say that I don't like it and it looks like ass IMO.

TFW have got again, and it's circulating -- if someone wants to put the images in a photobucket account or similar, it seems fair enough. (Since most people can't post attachments directly to the board in most forums, the "use an image host" bit is kinda redundant, I suppose.)

There's a bit of Death's Head II 90s Marvel genericism in there as well...

Thumbs down

Yeah, I found it. Killed off the miniscule bit of interest I had in this movie.

There's really only one problem I can think of with that, and it's this. What if, as an example, I post a link to hollywood.com that proves the film is still in first run theatres, but he's unable to check for several days and it winds up being taken out in the meantime?

See, that's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure that anyone would even remember a year from now.

That design makes baby Jesus cry. Holy cow, I realise X-Men was a redesign on the charecters look, but this movie is taking their look and just wrecking it. Boycott now I say!

The bunnies, they give me knowledge it is neat.
