Apparently he's in with a shot.

(Redir to his Myspace page, although I think the number of people trying to listen has killed the music server at the moment.)

That cheered me up as much as the Cullen casting call. Dare's one of the things I particularly enjoy about the original movie... unashamedly cheesy feel-good stuff. Here's hoping he gets something accepted for this one.
edit: Oo, you can add songs from artists' pages to your own profile... well, when Myspace isn't falling apart at the seams...

Stan Bush? Are they going to add in Wanker Al and some dancing robots too? Presumably Lion are too busy trying to crush their testicles enough to get those high notes...
"Hmm, our radical revisions of the TF mythos are causing some friction amongst the fan community. Let's throw in some bits from the original that weren't too popular, just to make sure this film doesn't really appeal to anyone at all."
Let's all hope it's one of those "second half of the credits/14th on the CD" efforts.
God, if I was a musician Stan would have taught me a great lesson. **** making respectable songs, just churn a couple of turds onto a kids' movie and you'll have people coming back for years.

He's always been hanging on. Via a mangy bit of rope and with bruised knuckles, but seeing as somewhere between 99.99-100% (dependant on whether his parents are alive) of the people who've heard of him are Transformers fans to some degree, this was always one turd which would bob to the top of the septic tank sooner or later.
Yay! Mixed metaphor. Well, kinda.

No, just wrong.
Two other things Stan's done.... erm... well, as every cheap trivia whore knows, "The Touch" was in Boogie Nights. Wait, they didn't actually let Stan do that, did they?
I hear he's grossed over $1.27 in busking in the past twenty years.

to be fair, i wasn't taking shots, just trying to figure out if someone born in the 80's could miss someone like stan bush..
i mean, really..
but to be fair, who can't sing all the songs in the 1st movie?
and i always thought it was david lee roth's alter-ego that was stan bush, just for extra exposure without trying to bring down Van Halen.. as if THAT cash cow was going anywhere...

My main problem is this... how many people have heard of The Avengers (the band)? Not that many. Despite them being that rarest of things, an American punk band. Despite them being really ****ing good. And yet more people know who Stan cocking Bush is because he put some generic AOR on some **** kids' film. And then does nothing for 20 years but contemplate his ineptitude, before trying the exact same thing again. Wanker.

never heard of the avengers, apologies..
(limewiring a song now, to judge before bashing)
but i don't think any of us are particularly ****ting on Stan, but has he done anything? that's America for you, what have you done for me lately? lately being loosely accorded with the last twenty years...
God bless us
and down with the Mets, as an aside.. not appropriate, but HA! pondscum....

Not being regularly in and out of the circle-jerk that passes for music press in the UK doesn't mean he's been inactive.

Frontiers are an Italian label.
Look harder; look here for starters, and I'd recommend the second album as a best introduction.Despite them being that rarest of things, an American punk band.
