I like Barricade, if only for the kitbash potential. Bumblebee doesn't look all so bad as a toy either.

Brawl has got some issues though--not for me.

wow i am majorly dissapointed by what i see. i had high hopes for the toys to at least have some good proportions because of the movie cg (of course nothing is perfect but still). i feel at least they could have put a bit more thought into proportions and whatnot: classics, alternators, etc. got my hopes high. now i doubt i would even spend the money on these. even if their vehicle modes are pretty accurate. i think the biggest turn off of them is their hands, they are fugly...

@Rubicon

Frenzy (?) is the little fugly Robot whos with Barricade. Seems as if Frenzy transforms into an engine... or something like that.

I'm only seeing altmodes - no robot shots?

Still, those are pretty groovy.

You have to wait a little bit. The page loads very slow (don't know why).

Wow!

I'm absolutely loving these guys!

I love the robot modes - especially Brawl! They're interesting to look at, and not as straight forward as I had expected (or come to expect from some of the recent figures - although by no means all).

Very nifty indeed!

(although from reading the posts above, I feel I may be in a minority here...)

Brawl was certainly at the back of the queque when movie Primus dished out the thighs, wasn't he?

Bumblebee's having a good year, though.

Wow....

Those are sweet! Bumblebee...I'm liking the more and more I see him. I've never been much of a Bumblebee fan, and I've never really understood the fascination with him, but this design has made me a fan. (especailly those latest CGI images we saw).

Barricade...that's just creepy. The arms are kind of weird, but it's fitting. I'm just imagining how that will move across the screen, it has a lot of potential. Very, very creepy.

Brawl is very cool. These toys are very detailed and intricate, I really like it. Not as detailed or intricate as the movie designs, obviously, but certainly more so than I expected.

Frenzy (if that is indeed Frenzy) is just weird.

OhmigodI'minlove.

Seriously, those all look a lot better than expected. Shame about some of the head designs, but they still look fun. Can't wait to find out what Barricade's little gizmo is.

Bumblebee's defintely the best, in terms of proportions, kibble, and kicking my ass. And since he's the best so far, I think these toys are going to follow the time-honored rule that Autobot toys are generally better than Decepticon toys. How's that for tradition?

I also like that Barricade is so psychotic-looking. So far the robot faces seem to lack any expression, but Barricade is just full of it. And I think the huge arms were a fun idea, but I just wish all the car parts had somewhere else to go.

I know I'm likely to be unpopular for saying this, but the robot designs are feeling rather G1-ish for me now.

After a few hours driving with nowt else to occupy my mind (sad, I know - but perhaps 'escape' is the word), they suddenly hit me as modern G1 feel. But, hey, they also seem RID-ish in a more conventional sense, and I loved the Beast Machines toy designs, so, hey, go-figure!

I don't mind it so much for Brawl, as a tank would have a more brutish appearance, and he's officially the second best looking tf in this movie (behind Jazz). Other than him, the look really would only work for drones.

Barricade kind of looks like an oversized minicon knockoff. Bumblebee does nothing for me, either way. Kinda looks like one of those toy robots that's designed to have games for toddlers to play with. Robochicken Starscream wasn't too good from those pics we saw a few months back.

I'll be seeing the movie, but as soon as I saw the cg models for these characters, I knew that I wouldn't be interested in the toys. Since that's my main focus when it comes to transformers these days, that kills a huge chunk of my interest in the production.

I wasn't too happy with the robot designs until I saw the toys. Now they seem like a whole lot of fun to me. If that's what you mean by the "G1 feel" then I totally agree .
