that is a nifty idea for the blaster to turn into op. the packaging isi nteresting too, and well thought out, but i have to agree with the posters, maybe no facial pics on the packaging (or at least a picture of their face that does them more justice)?

The blaster is fantastic.
Ratchet has really grown on me.

The packaging...is just terrible.

Hmm, from Ratchets' packaging it looks like they changed his face a little, or maybe its at a different angle. All in all Ratchet looks excellent. So far they've done weel with the figures.
Not too fond of the blaster though. It just seems to gimmicky for me...

My guess is the blaster'll go down very well with the target audience.

That blaster is absolutely amazing for kids!

As to Ratchet, I'm totally loving him. (Hope he is that shade of green...) And I really like the head art on the box (but, then, I like the heads, so go-figure ) Pitty about the excess waste packaging...

(Also available... Blackout... )

Heh the blaster is actually quite cool! I wasn't expecting anything like that when I heard of the transforming blaster. Hmmm, wonder what the age range is - might have a gift for my nephew next christmas!!! (or Optimash Prime)

Goodness, Hasbro is definitely milking this one for its worth. Candied, marshmallow, Transformers cereal, here we come. I can see the “blaster” being a hit with the target kid audience. It’s sort of on the same boat as the Hulk Fists or Darth Vader Lightsabers that kids pummeled each other with, or the Spiderman Web Blaster-thingy that makes huge silly string messes. Looks like a fun toy idea.

Mmmmm delicious marketing.

As for the star wars light sabers, I know a couple from class that made, from all accounts I have heard, a long and epic video. They are of course in their mid twenties.

totally off topic here, but i remmebered the big debate on how gross Starscream looked, and I found this toy design and it blew my mind away at two robt modes that it had, and something in my head went "Eureka!'. enjoy the link to BBTS.
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...l&picture=aux1

When I saw this toy design, I wished to myself that the robots had two robot modes in a way, maybe with Screamer for instance kept the one mode in particular, but when he gets really mucked off, he could go to a more humanoid robot mode. I think that would have made the fans of the new designs and the old designs happy as can be, and would make this movie a bit better. Now I think screamer's robot mode was once referred to as "brute" mode on this forum? not sure, can't remember if it was, but I think the 'cons could have the brute modes period, but have the secondary robot mode for even more intense combat, or jsut relaxing around the hot tub and hitting on Arcee and all the fembots.
