I think the initial announcement about the convention set mentioned that Dreadwind would be in that 5-pack, but the Drag Strip sounds like too good an exclusive for them to not make. I probably won't be able to pick it up, but it's a no brainer that I didn't even think of, and would most likely be more desirable to most fans than Sunstorm would be.

I.. think it's actually a 'Weirdwolf' repaint of Battle Ravage or something, going by the color and the weird speech thing he had going on.

Edit: Yeah, just checked the design, that IS Cyb: Snarl with Weirdwolf's colors and speech. (His parner, Monzo, was mentioned as captured - having been abandoned by Weirdwolf some time before).

*Oohs and ahhhs*

Quite impressive.

Though, I'm not as depressed that I probably won't be able to track it down, as I was about Botcon Beast Wars Megatron. Of all the figures from last year's convention, that's the one I wanted the most. I didn't even bother picking any of them up, in the end, but I really still wish I could've gotten him.

Hmmm. Not sure if I like this or not. The head sculpt is great but the colour scheme is awful. I thought the Botcon pack was Decepticons too. Is he a Decep? The colour scheme would certainly say so but I can't see a logo.

EDIT: just checked the pics and looks like he is an Autobot.

Yuppers. He's based off of Alpha Trion from the G1 series, hence the new headsculpt and the colors. He's not part of the convention set, but he might be one of the attendee exclusives.

Wow! If I could get hold of just one figure from this Botcon, that would be it! (i.e. Alpha Trion)

(If anyone can help out - let me know! Scotland is not condusive to Botcon!)

Absolutely stunning!

I do hope it is a Botcon (or at least something) so as it becomes an official entry in TF toy history, even if I can't get hold of one!

Nice video and all, but how is it relevant to the Botcon exclusives?

On topic, has anyone been able to identify what mold Snarl's based on, if it's based on any at all? I'm very curious, and the pics I've seen really aren't so good for trying to figure it out. :\ I'm also not as up on my knowledge of Cybertron figures.

The Snarl shown is Action Master Snarl, which includes Tryannotron as his partner.

I like it, not that I'll ever possess one. Nice colours, IMO, but hey! I'm a grrly.

This Botcon thing is getting me down now.

What? No Hi-Test????

Seriously, though, they've done a great job of delivering on Dreadwind - the head sculpt and colours are perfect - an achievement indeed!

Alas, I shall never be able to own it, I fear...

Aye. Colors aren't great, but they match the original Dreadwind. All in all, I'm glad I didn't find Jetfire, so I'll be getting at least one new mold in the set.

I have to agree with Neuronutter -- yeeeeeeeeeeesh! Original colors, yes, but still damn ugly ones. It's nice that they gave the figure a remolded head though.

Looks to me as Botcon blew its load early in this reveal series. The Seekers were causing drool-fests, but Bug Byte and Dreadwind are definitely less exciting.

The colors and head are very accurate of a toy I know nearly nothing about from a time when Transformers were really starting to wane. Oh well, at least it is an homage to a released 80's TF and not some weird hybrid of a classics toy and an e-hobby recolor.
