Ok I have pics of Ultra Magnus. Sorry for the quality but it's from a webcam.

WOW thanks! I'm back on track!
The lighting is a bit off but I'll tell you if I hit a problem where the pics can't help me. I'll upload some pics here when I'm done.
Thanks a lot nav.

Again, where does the midramp piece go? Just wondering if you could circle it in a pic.

Oh ok.
Could you get some shots of the shoulder assembly (the part with the "rigging hinges" and "rigging bolts". That's giving me a bit of a hard time.

And a few shots of the combined mode as well would be cool.

I'm glad that Nav's helping you with this one. Magnus is an OLD one that really needs work done on it, but will have to come later. (Though I will be redoing the tractor part for obvious reasons sooner than that.) The Mid-Ramp went (going from memory) on the top of the lower ramp, covering the gap in front of the legs. That may be an 'artifact' piece from an even earlier version, though, I'll have to look when I get to Magnus again.

I really need at least a picture guide because I love combiners and this is the only paperformer one AFAIK.
The three energon combiners aren't that far down the list of 'things to do', actually... but I'm not exactly sure how soon that is. After them, the 'Scramble' combiners would naturally be next.

And I know there was a Ratchet paperformer as well. I'd love to repaint it into Movie ratchet.
Ratchet is up already as C-98.

Note: This week's new model is up in this post now, the 'Cassette Robot' model, starting with Rumble. This will also be used for the Autobot cassette models, with different markings, obviously.

Yeah, this is the only time I have had this much difficulty.

Wicked more combiners!
If you have time a ROTF Devastator would be cool. Maybe just a simplified version like the Legends/EZ Collection.

And I'm not too familiar with anything before the Cybertron cartoons. What are the Scramble combiners?

No, no, yes (but not released), and unfinished. The planets are never likely to come (I mean, seriously, they would be paper models 2 feet high!) Omega is on the long list, and not sure about Fortress Maximus.

Anything about a ROTF Devastator? It doesn't have to be big or complicated, just a simple one will do.

NOOOOO!!!!!
I don't mean that large, but you just gave me an idea; what if I work on the other primus (not from energon) in that scale ,just the raw model and you could put on the textures on since I'm not really good at that. What do you think about that?

Sounds very cool, can't wait.
I'm about to print off Frenzy and Rumble, looking forward to building them.
Is there a Ravage? He's my fav cassette from G1.

Scramble Combiner refers to the G1 combiners from Superion/Menasor through Piranacon. Basically all the gives that have 'one central leader' and four basics that can 'scramble' their positions. (And, because of mold reuse, that would also include RID Ruination).

As for RID, I've played with Build King a little, but I can't settle on how to do the connection for Wedge/Grimlock. Grimlock's splitting in half like that is a PAIN to do, and I don't want to over-complicate these guys.

As for the jets, the correction will NOT count as next week's new figure. :S

Note: Skyblast is a slight editing and repurposing of the old Machine Wars-based Skywarp

Note: Mirage is this week's (25 Jan 2009) 'new' design. It's actually a salvaged unreleased one, heavily tweaked, though... Redecos will appear through the thread to fill in some missing gaps.

Oh OK. I thought that Starscream's lower legs had something wrong with them. But, as always, nothing is ever perfect.
And in robot mode, the nose really sticks out, especially in the side view. But with the extra bulk AKA the intakes and chest guards, it doesn't look as bad.
As for the 4 missile pieces, are 2 supposed to go under the main wings and the other 2 on the arms? IMO, you cannot have G1 Starscream without his arm cannons. It's just the law.

And seeing as you're working on combiners, is RotF Devastator far down your list? Just a simple one will do, maybe a simplified version of the Legends/EZ Collection. But it really isn't a priority for me, it would just be really cool to have on my desk.

UPDATE: I have repainted Jazz to use his G1 colours. It's the old lower leg assembly, unfortunatley.
A General Lee has been uploaded too.
For Lee, you have to stick the doors to the "hood" piece, not the arms. It will give a sort of movie Barricade-ish look with the doors. That's the reason for the doors being a little bit extended.

The General Lee is a 1969 Dodge Charger from The Dukes of Hazzard. I just made it into a Transformers character!

And have you built Frenzy or Rumble? I need help with the legs.

Excellent Jet-former updates!
Now I can build all the Seekers.
But wait...
...Was there a Ramjet using this mold? Then I'll have all 4 Seekers from G1.

I've finished Starscream (more or less). I just have to glue on the leg guards and tail intakes on the sides of the legs?? I'm not sure whether the intakes are supposed to go on the inside or outside.
The jet mode looks a little out of proportion with the long nose and small fuselage but if you leave the legs extended it looks a lot better.
