Default Strange new addition on play.com...

New member. Hello. Just browsing play.com, when I came across an odd item they had listed...

My guess is it's a mistake. But still...look at the picture!

Wait two years for delivery?

(reminds me to put my 25th Prime on ebay, though.... running out of space sucks)

There must be some mistake, £6.99, and it's due for release on the 30th of this month?

Wrong link or something?

Weird thing is, it doesnt show up when I do a search for Optimus on the gadget search bar.

I checked first. Ran it through the 'gadgets' search as Optimus Prime, and the engine brought up the 20th Anniversary figure. Sooo, I clicked on related items bar and, yes, this 30th Anniversary version appeared at £6.99. Checked again today, and there the little darling still sits. If it's a fraud, then Play.com are either in on it or unaware that their site has a plant.

Ah, well. We'll find out, as Brend says, in seven years.... :\

The Transformers brand is only 23 years old.

Cool

I'm sure this is not fraud, just a cock up!

It appears in their 'Coming Soon' section on a few pages. Think they would notice if someone had hacked their pages. They have probably got the anniversary confused with Star Wars 30th or something.

Play.com are in my good books today though as I have just taken delivery of a super cool Barricade tee shirt from them! Nice.

All's quiet on the Western Front. Nothing - not a peep - from Play.com, and they are usually pretty quick at updating customers if items are unavailable etc.
