Shame they don't break the two-pack up. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on Megs.

Of the rest of them, I'd really only recommend Scattershot.

Two-pack Prime's actually pretty good if you pretend he's an Actionmaster. ;)

I remember hearing a while back that the Megs from that pack was getting an individual release, but since it hasn't happened I suppose that was an unsubstantiated rumour/something I misunderstood.

Supposedly, it already happened in Europe, but I've never seen it.

Edit: I wonder if the packaging will be 'Universe' (as in the now otherwise defunct line), or use new 'classics' style packaging, considering the upcoming MP Starscream release...

I can confirm that the ultimate battle figures also can be bought seperatly, I have seen both Megatron and Optimus on cards, in Bilka and Buddy I think, and a cd with what I presume is a Danish and Finnish dub(a wierd dub that is) cwere handed out for free.

yep, comic book guy had bugger loads of the seperate Prime and Megs last week. He was slightly niffed they were the only new TF's he'd had in rather than anymore Movie stuff.

Is it just more or are the rest of you kinda disappointed their not repaints? Don't me wrong..it's great to have the availability, its just that universe gave us older g1 charas in newer molds, without paying outlandish Botcon prices. Bad as they where sometimes. It's why I bought my Universe Skywarp anyway.

I'm just wishing they'd have made the effort here. That Cybertron rhino would have made a fun reference to the bull from Predaking.

It has...the stores here are cluttered with that waste of plastic that is Classics Prime, but not a single Megatron. :glance:

How much you wanna bet that's gonna make it into a con exclusive?

Considering the previous two waves were straight repackages of Energon Basics, I didn't expect anything else.

Headstrong would be a bit more fitting.

Lets hope not. Backstop looks pretty aweful, especially in robot mode. Anyone got him, who can attest to whether or not he has halfway decent articulation? That might be the saving grace of the mold.

Do we know if they're excess stock that was produced at the time or whether the figures are currently in production?

I'd assume that it was a new production run. Mostly because the Universe Treadshot I have already shows some minor signs of mold dergadarion as compared to my European Windazor.

I have him..there isn't really anything halfway decent about the figure to be truthful. I bought it on impulse when I saw it on clearance right after christmas. I've wondered why I did since then....

That's what I figured. Thanks for letting me know.

I think I only ended up with about 1/4 of the stuff that got released under cybertron, which is the least I've bought of any series that's been on shelves, during my adult collecting (I was a kid, when G1/G2 was out, and I've never sat down to figure out a percentage. I didn't collect BW or BM until sometimes after RID came out, so I don't have stats on that, either. I bought all of RID, all but PL Red Alert, from Armada, at least half of Energon and TFu and all but the minicons and legends class figures from Classics. Movie, I'm still trying to grab as much as I can from Deluxe and voyager class, and I plan to have a huge chunk of at least one version of the real gear molds). I just didn't like most of the toys in that series.
