I'm surprised no one's brought up an Action Master.

I'm pretty fond of my Action Master Grimlock, and my Action Master Snarl earns big points for having, as his best mate, a tiny Tyrannosaur that turns into a gun. I wish I had a friend like Tyrannotron...

Not all action masters are bad. Wheeljack & treadshot aren't so bad. But I must say, their partners/vehicles are better than the figure itself (like Catgut and turbo racer are better than Wheeljack and Treadshot)

*Ahem*

I actually like the Action Masters to some degree, except that those ginormous combined gun thingies are too big

For my money, excusing a few questionable colour schemes, the AMs biggest problem is they were about 10 years ahead of their time. Sure, any stuck record can wheel out the whole "Transformers that don't transform! LOL that suxx ass!" bull****, but they're nice enough figures. Just an odd choice for a kids' line instead of a fan-orientated series (the funniest thing was a lot of the fans that were so quick to mock the AMs masturbating over the PVCs...).

Mmm. A damn shame they couldn't Transform, really. Most of the new characters in the Actionmasters line had really cool, unique designs -- most notably their head sculpts. Someone seemed to actually put some care and attention into 'em, rather than giving them generic human heads, and uninspired designs.

Even without being able to transform, I'd still pick Bombshell (Really cool redesign -- looks like a biker) , Jazz, Blaster, Soundwave, Megatron, Tracks, Prime and Starscream over their original toys. Grimlock's one of the best Actionmasters, but I prefer the original.

'Sides, if we're going to slag things off based on the concept alone, at least go for something genuinely ludicrous such as the Actionmaster Elites. "Transforming robots that can't transform that can transform!"

Remarkable. Brought to you by the same people that came up with the concept that the Titaniums are statues and therefore, you cannot slag their rubbish alt. modes. They're not meant to transform -- they just do or somethin'. It's all an illusion.

Now I own an Omega Spreem, and if I ever become an eccentric billionaire, I'll treat myself to a Windmill -- but seriously, the concept is a bit bizarre.

Totally with you on this one Cliffy. When the Action Masters came out I was about 13-14 and had drifted away from TFs by that stage.I distinctly remember seeing them in my mums Great Universal catalogue as I scoured thru the back pages of the Autumn/Winter edition for that years Xmas presents recognising some of the characters and thinking"Oh look its Transformers.....that dont actually transform-what the f*&% is that all about?"
Nowadays I have some 3" Tits(keep it clean) and I'd definitely take the PVCs or the porcelain busts if I saw them cheap on Ebay.
There would be none of the speeding fist action you mentioned tho.
Some of them seem to go for good money dependant on the character so they do seem to be getting some belated love these days but yeah its only in the last few years that the idea of a non transforming transformers character has really been embraced and is now must be a fairly big market as they keep getting churned out.
(Tits and bust used in the same post must be worth a point)

Loss of job. Will sell for food here.

In a discussion forum the chat will often flow organically.

Myself, I used to love ActionMaster Shockwave, so purple and orange.

Maybe the orange on shocks's cannon arm and inferno's waterblaster thingy is for legal reasons.
