Default US release of the PVC's?

I thought I'd just throw this up in here for those that haven't read about it yet.

The following paragraph is from Ben Yee over at http://www.bwtf.com/

"3/26/02 - 2 inch figures?!
Following a lead by ctek721, I called up Hasbro
and found out that due out soon (meaning they are
already in distribution warehouses) are "2 inch figures"
of the following characters: Optimus Prime, Megatron,
Starscream, Ultra Magnus, Skywarp, Thundercracker and
Arcee! It is possible that these may be Japanese PVC's
being brought over to the US, but no word on that until
these appear in stores. The Hasbro rep told me that these
are supposed to retail for $5. She also mentioned there are
three listings for Optimus Prime: Regular, "Apex Armor" and
Firestorm. Could this be Ginrai repackaged? We'll wait and
see!"

I hope they can be seen through the packaging unlike the Japanese releases.

Let me see here... so Mirage payed $400 for a limited addition Skywarp PVC, and now they're thinking about releasing him mainstream in America? He's going to be choked...

Smile Not amazingly...

...I think he's got an individually numbered one, since it was some sort of promotion. Only 200, or 250, or something like that?

*facepalms*

the official Skywarp PVC's aren't numbered

I spent $400 on one

$5?

I think I deserve some sort of a medal

*dies*

My will;

I leave the following to the following or something;

1. My Original Skywarp PVC to Lordsixshot

2. My sideburns to Jetfire

3. My muppet collection to Brendocon

4. My 'lurve guide' and my 'little black book of ladies' to Starscreamsghost

5. A personally autographed life size picture of me to Claypool

6. A 6x4 photo of me to each of the other archive members

7. My wisdom to Stuart Denyer

8. and finally, I leave Getaway to Addl

9. and as for Skywarp, he can take anything he likes!

Smile My advice?

Auction the thing (few people are going to be aware of this news yet, at a guess -- or have spotted the ramifications), buy a clear Starscream and get yerself some Citadel Miniatures paints from Games Workshop.

edit: I mean, there's a guy trying to flog a G1 US #80 for 50 Buy-It-Now, claiming it was never reprinted... and someone will probably believe him...

*slaps Alpha Trion's hand before he can swipe the PVC Skywarp

He didn't leave it to you, ya damned thief!

*steals Mirage's Wallet and Car keys.

What? He didn't say who gets those things.

Hey, Hipocrisy is okay as long as I'm the only one doing it.

*further examine's Mirage's personal effects.

Hmm, well, he said Skywarp gets whatever he wants, so I'll just leave all this beer alone, lest my hand gets bit off at mid-forearm...
