Okay, I've seen int twice now...and...

SPOILER! (select to read)
Some of my favorite parts are when he's testing the suit out, and getting blown all over, then having the little robot that keeps trying to 'put him out'. Also, at the end...with S.H.I.E.L.D......Full of awesomeness!!

Great flick, absolutely loved it. The entire film felt like it fit seamlessly, imo- far and away better than Transformers. See, this is what Transformers needed to be [imo], and that seamless feel is what was missing from it.

Not that I'm overly complaining, mind. Things blowing up is cool, too, but as the bf pointed out, Transformers should have focused less on the people. But this thread isn't really about that- Iron Man is the first good film I've seen all winter, so it gets a big "yay!" from me.

Totally gonna see it again. It was good fun.

Wasn't perfect, but a great ride and no glaring mistakes in the movie. Great fight scenes, and Robert Downey Jr was an excellent Tony Stark. Best time I had in a theater in a very long time.

Default Iron Man film

Has anyone seen the Iron Man film that came out May 1. Saw it on Sat. and thought it was pretty good. Most of the reviews i've seen have been claiming it's good. Don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't seen it yet, but stay after the credits to see what the next marvel franchise will be.

I haven't seen it yet but it's another reason why you shouldn't trust critics. They're only one person.

Saw it last night and loved it. Loved the comedy that RDJr brings to the table. The action was great and fit in nicely with the pace of the story. Like most Superhero movies though, now that the origin is out of the way, the sequel will probobly be way better.

Also, the post credits scene was fantastic. Can't wait for the future of the franchise.

So is it true that RDJr is going to be making a cameo in the Hulk movie as Stark?

Ye, apart from that old grouch of a critic, the rest of the reviews are fairly great.

Or at least make a point of knowing what sort of film the critic in question likes.

saw it today in a theater that serves beer, which meant i missed the credits...

aside from that, it was pretty entertaining.
told my room-mate i'm taking him to it, just so i can see it again and catch the credits.

and beer is ****ing expensive at the theater, but when it's there, you have to drink it, right?

Saw it last night. Loved the film, the first superhero film since the criminally overlooked The Shadow that had a sense of fun to it. Robert Downey Jnr was amazing as Tony Stark and Jeff Bridges did a stellar turn as Obadiah Stane.

Yes. I think it was even shown at some convention (I read its description in a con-report, anyway) and judging by it, it will probably put after the credits, too.

Yeah, one guy here gave it 3 stars out of six, but since he doesn't like action films and he said comic fans would probably liked it, I took it as a positive.

-Okay, the bomb's dropped. Life goes on. No amount of sulking or worrying changes that. We've got our own lives to live. In that regard, in five minutes time, I am using the autopilot on the Midnight Runner and taking it down the pub. If I go on my own, I go on my own.
-Well. Wait up, you horrible English git. While I'm around, you don't have to go anywhere on your own.
And, one by one, the others follow.
And, one by one, they begin to smile.

I posted all them original links.... I whipped you all up into a fervour.... and I'm not allowed to go see it!!!!

OK, I was going to see the movie last weekend, but with my uncle being seriously ill, I didn't, 'natch. So the Beloved is now moaning that I lost a weekend's housework and need to catch up first...

Pfffft . . . tell him to do it himself . . . unless he asked nicely. Especially in a case like this.

I can imagine. Beer itself is expensive, and then theatres havea tendencie to jack up the price.

Well, I'm hopefully going tomorrow.
