Cool. This will probably be my first Skywarp toy.

Come to think of it...it will probably be my first too, unless I can find a cheap Classics Ultra Magnus and Skywarp pack.

Good luck with that. I didn't find one under $40 on eBay. All I want is Magnus anyway, so I can have someone to put the City Commander armor on...

I am suffering through something similar. I already have Classics Prime, but I'd feel awful putting the City Commander armor on him. I don't have the Classics Seeker mold in any form, and Skywarp is my favorite among the available color schemes. I want that pack so damn badly! Too bad I just spent all my money on Rammstein apparel and yet another Evangelion...

I don't know if I'd dish out the money for the City Commander armor, but I'd love to get the Ultra Magnus vs. Skywarp 2 pack. Actually, there's quite a few Classics figures I'd like to get, including Astrotrain. (Classics or Henkei. I'm not terribly picky)

Hope this means that him and Thundercracker are reoccurring Decepticons.

If the bluish color was six times brighter, SS could pass off as Thundercracker.

Note that Shockwave is a Four-Changer. He also disguises as the Autobot Longarm.

(think G1 Punch/Counterpunch)

I'm impressed that they're actually calling him Shockwave! Definitely getting him!

I wasn't initially impressed by the Botcon photos of Shockwave, but the box art makes it look like the figure may end up a bit more colorful than I expected...

I'm right on the fence about this one; the modes look cool enough, but I've just gotta see better photos of the paint job first.

I wasn't expecting Hasbro to have reclaimed the rights to the name Shockwave. I'm not saying that they should have called him something else, I'm just surprised Hasbro did call him that.

Red face

I've never given the Mini-Cons any thought, or the Robot Heroes for that manner...

No, really.

The Energon toy was named "Shockblast" because Hasbro didn't have the trademark at that time.

The name became available again shortly before Hasbro were going to release the Alternators toy. However, news about the name being available again came in like five minutes before the toy was about to start production. The packaging had already been produced, so Hasbro just slapped the letters "SHK WAV" on the license plate and released the toy as "Shockblast", probably biting themselves in the tail for not having waited a month or two longer.

Then they slapped the name "Shockwave" on the first random toy they could think of, which happened to be the Cybertron Mini-Con. JUST so they were actually using it and could claim first dibs on it.

The Robot Heroes figure was a better opportunity eventually, and helped them to keep the name.
