Default How Strict Is Comic Regulation Nowadays?

I was just having a conversation with a friend about this cover -

Which is a cover to a Marvel Zombies cross over in to mainstream Marvel Universe titles (i think)

And we were talking about whether or not Marvel could, or would get in trouble for that cover, which basically depicts a decaying zombified baby.

I havent got any issue with it, artistic impression and such, and the baby is a part of Cables character atm, but I can see it being kinda... Controversial.

Marvel chooses to self regulate these days. They abandoned the CCA quite a while back. Which means they can pretty much do whatever they feel like. They have their own rating system and all that so people will know whether or not it's safe to buy for children and whatnot...

I should think covers of that ilk would rather give the rating away, what?

Robot Republic of Yorkshire.

To me its no more controvertial than the zombie baby in the 2004 dawn of the dead (I think its that one) and if anything I'd say its less realistic.

A Chinese cartoon where the robots turn into blingwads!
