On that note I actually managed to make my girlfriend scream one day with the Blackarachnia toy, not that it's that realistic. Still got a squeal from her when the toy got near! Heheh!
I think Waspinator is the upgrade of Wasp, to get revenge on that "Bumblebot" for ruining Wazzp's life!

In any case, this is a very surprising figure, and I want it!

That looks pretty nifty, really. I may give it a shot as I'm sure many others will as well.

Is it a remold, or is it just the sider car / armor that's new?

Samurai Prowl is a remold. The are ball joints on his hips, for starters.

EDIT: Maybe i should paint the prowl green, then the armor brown/orange/whatever colour zigzagger used. Too bad i can't digibash well...

Those ball joints are behind his back, not on his hips. The only change to the base mold I think is the lengthening of the windshield piece, which seems to cover the exposed ball joint for his waist. Everything else comes from the side car and likely uses the convenient screw holes and slots that are already there. At least, I guessing that's how everything connects so it works like it did on the show for the most part.

Looks like he won't have any throwing stars. I'm not sure if I want to get him. If I hadn't already bought the first Prowl before they announced they were releasing him, I would have, but not sure the upgrades are that worth it.

I'd laugh if in 25 years from now the Traffic Light from the first Prowl becomes a valuable and rare collector's item.

I'll get both for sure.

Waspinator looks great...and easy to take apart, for those scenes only he can do, and I want Prowl for being Samurai. He looks quite bulky though.

That was supposed to be Grimlock? I thought you were just having a moment.

And I'm definately getting a Waspinator or twelve. I'll be adding him to my Beast Wars shrine. (Only made up of Optimal Optimus and Animated Black Arachnia at this point.)

Taking a closer look at the vehicle mode picture of Prowl, the shuriken (AKA the throwing stars) are still there, just the blades are painted black. Though whether the arms will be able to support the weight of them and the added armor might be another matter.

We'll just have to see about balance, then?

Definetely buying these two. If I can find them. Swoop and Sentinel Prime still haven't sprung up yet.

Ugh, they really messed up on the out-of-packaging shot of Prowl. I do like that cartoon pic of Waspy on the card, gives me a hint as to what the show version will look like.

I'm quite the opposite. I have plenty of Swoops (Just in the last few days) and loads of Sentinels, but Elite Guard BB is MIA.

Considering I accidentally broke BOTH thumbs on my Prowl, I'll get this version now. My love of Waspinator knows no bounds as this one I'll get even if someone just shit in the packaging and claimed it was him.

Do I spy open mandibles in the box art like his Beast Wars incarnation? I'm really looking forward to this one!

Edit: On another note, aside from the extended front, I see no changes between the Prowl from Wave 1 and this one. So it should be easy to just use the first one with the sidecar itself.

I'm really liking that! The prowl I can take or leave, but I WILL be picking up Waspinator. I've been toying the idea of using the Animated figures as Pretenders (much like the movie line became Heralds of Unicron) and this has clinched it for me.

Only changes seem to be colors on the wheels, chest window design, remolded thighs, longer biceps (or shoulders, hard to tell), and colored arms, The front end is extended, remolded arms, and blue sirens.

It would seem to be impossible to use the sidecar on the old version due to the clips on the new arms.

Prowl is cool, and the completist in me will buy him. (What the f was that traffic light anyways?)

Waspinator looks OK to me, not great. I will buy two (as always for deluxes in J cards) but i really would have rather had a cybertron Wasp. Remolding the head for Cybertron Cliffjumper and Cybertron Bumblebee.

OK, I see the pegs now. Guess I'll just have to wait until someone can compare the two to see what else changed...
