That must've been very useful for when you wanted her to fall flat on her face while keeping her feet flat.

Yeh, but they also rotate 360 degrees for the Microscope mode. That's more articulated than real knees...

Well, at least they bend vertically and not horizontally like a bunch of Armada toys.

If you can't think of at least five situations that would be useful in you've never lived.

It's the shoulder articulation that's bugging me - or the apparent lack thereof. any idea whether it'll be able to raise its arms sidewards? shame if not.

Yeh, the arms only... rotate... backwards and forwards. The elbows hinge as well. It might seem a bit primitive now, but very few pre-G2 Transformers come close to the thing - probably only Soundwave and a select view. It's also well-made enough to make use of the joints...

Cut me some slack here - How the hell am I supposed to spot a reissue when I've never seen the original?

Okay, so now there's the Insecticons, the Energon Shockblast repaint (and we all know who that will be) AND Perceptor?

And then there's my ambitious plan to get all the ROTF Legends figures.

How am I going to afford all this?

Good point. If only someone maintained a checklist telling people these things, and if only they linked to it a few posts up.

I've never seen Kakuryu, but if somebody posted a news thread with pictures of the toy, I'd be able to spot if it's a reissue or not.

You really think even Hasbro's design team would churn out a die cast brick like that as a new design in this day and age?

Probably get those five as well.
Plus the two sets of Constructicons, plus Jetfire and God knows what else from the movie, and it would appear that I'm in a world of financial trouble.

Tformers has nice new pics of Perceptor in box.

http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=12117

I'm going to pic this one up. I have always thought Science Officers (Spok, Perceptor, etc) were super cool.

Lots of pics of Perceptor, missing the spring in his launcher:

Insecticons in packaging:

Kickback... Hardshell... and Sharpshot.

Because "Insecticon Shrapnel" would have been far too tenuous...

They could at least have gone for Shrapshot. Rolls off the tongue, that does, plus a load of newbies would probably call him Sharpshot and we could mercilessly castigate them...

Actually, I'm going to call him Shrapshot. I'm fairly sure there's nothing anybody can do to stop me.

Kickback, Shrapshot, Chippytwat. Them's the Insectercons.

Sharpshot sounds like one of the rejected Targetmaster names. Actually, sod that, it doesn't even sound like a rejected one.

Wouldn't surprise me to learn that they've had it trademarked for the last twenty years and finally decided "sod it, we'll just use it for Shrapnel and get it out of the way".

Yes Nevermore, I know it doesn't work like that.
