Schmidt: Oh noes, no one's going to believe us for a third time if we do the "This is really what we planned to do all along" thing, they barely brought it when McCarthy was saying it! But we desperately need to back-pedal due to accidentally filling our comic full of crap again.

Ryall: Have no fear, just tell everyone you're man enough to admit you've gotten something wrong and plan to change it, the honesty will endear you to the fans. Just make sure it's something minor like Costa not having bothered to read comics with Prowl in though.

Schmidt: You mean when I admitted to not having read the Galvatron Spotlight when writing a direct sequel to cover the fact I haven't read any of the other comics either? Genius Sir. Can I polish your shoes again?

Isnt the editor supposed to keep an eye on the writers plots to make sure he stays within the overall universe guidelines?

In theory.

In theory companies are meant to pay people.

Transformers comics have never played by the rules, baby. They're a wildcard. A maverick. They're gonna get their RIO killed.
