ooh might have to have a look in B&M.

Home Bargains continues to struggle to shift mountains of unloved Transformers : Prime Beast Hunters stuff, plus that horrible massive Cyberverse Optimus thing.

And now The Entertainer has them on their web page as coming soon. They appear to expect Doubledealer and Brainstorm too, but the downside is the full RRP of 23 rather than B&M's 13. I think Smyths are charging 23 also. More hunting for me in the coming days!

Been in 3 B&Ms near me. Just one had the Generations figures, and just stock of Whirl and Rhinox.

B&M in Colchester Stanway had lots of Sandstorms, some Roadbusters, a Blaster, and a Blitzwing. I now have one of the Sandstorms and the Blitzwing.

The Smyths opposite had Whirls, Roadbusters, and a Springer.

EDIT: Damn. Just seen that Knightdramon is after a Roadbuster. Sorry dude - I'd have got you one if I'd known.

B&M Ipswich Ransomes Europark had 1x Rhinox, 2x Sandstorm, 1x Blitzwing and 1x Blaster this evening. I don't think Doubledealer is coming, is he?

Wall-to-wall Sandstorms in my local B&M (Hamilton). I'll keep an eye out for Roadbusters though.

New sale thread added with a range of Transformers including Masterpiece, Botcon, CHUG, RID, Movies etc.

Looking for MP-11T Thundercracker and MP-9 Rodimus v2 (Takara version with as few QC issues as possible).

Check out my new sale thread now!

Also items on eBay.

While this is great for pretty much everybody who might want one/all these figures, am I the only one slightly bothered/puzzled by this [constant] chain of events by hasbro/UK releases?

It's as if the entire system is set up as a prank to the people who got them early/preordered.

Preordered/bought AOE on release? Lol buddy, joke's on you, pretty much every release except Slash got a better paintjob/bundle a few months down the road.

Preordered/bought LDR Jetfire on release/AA 2014? Again, joke's on you, pretty much November onwards he's available in most places for around -15 pounds off retail price.

P.O/bought any of these chaps here for ~30 pounds on AA13/14? Hurray, here they go for 13 pounds!

At this rate, no matter how much you want/like the figure, you can just be patient and ride it off for anything from 3 months to a year.

This is the problem I have collecting TFs these days. Outside of the US, its pot luck what retailers will carry (and now we're seeing successive lines split between retailers with some carrying some figures and others another, as has happened with AoE and the new RID line). The vast amount of product and the waves system doesn't work anywhere but the US so its difficult to know what we're going to get and whether it will show up anywhere within shouting distance of where you live.

These days I have to weigh up how much I want a figure and the likelihood of it becoming a sought after item/ expensive via online outlets/ ebay.

As you say, nearly all the 'most wanted' Generations toys have subsequently been reduced, but its worth pointing out the UK doesn't get much of the Generations stock outside of wave one, even through larger retailers like TRU and a lot of this stuff has been the preserve of online specialist retailers. Places like B&M and Home Bargains have scored some real coups in recent years landing overstocks from US retailers to sell through over here (HB had pretty much the entire 2010 HTFD/ RTS lines available, for example).

If you're not sorted, let me know and will go back to the one near our offices tomorrow. There's one plus a load of FoC Blaster, Sandstorm and some Blitzwings. Unless someone fills a trolley they probably haven't moved this week.

I might try a wider area this evening if I'm early enough and see if there's a Rhinox going. At B&M price it'd be worth a punt.

Someone on TFW2005 says they've seen a Doubledealer as part of this grey import business, so something else to look out for. Hopefully I'll see one at my local.

Left work at five and snagged the Roadbuster (and a Springer I hadn't spotted earlier) -- off out again in a minute, will get back to you later.

My local one (I didn't even know we had one in town till I googled and recognised the logo!) only had one each of Springer and Roadbuster.

I got lost on the way to my local B&M (it's kinda strangely located.) But I did manage to find Generations voyagers Whirl and Roadbuster at Smyths. They also had a Rhinox but did not appear to be very well stocked.

My Whirl smells funny.

He smells like...rubbing alcohol and a little bit of perfume. He came in a shipping box with MP Magnus and Bumblebee, all three went through customs, just Whirl smells.

I wish I was joking.

Hmmm. Hadn't noticed my Whirl smelling funny. But, then I do examine dead spiders preserved in 70% isopropanol regularly so maybe my olfactory senses are a bit off.

I really can't put my finger on the smell. It's kind of like old rubber and printing ink.

Was kind-of envious of all this discount Transformer finding until I googled up pics. Whirl's not bad but the rest are kind-of ick.

Depends...I believe Sandstorm and Springer are more or less well-praised [I like both]. Roadbuster is hit and miss with some, Blitzwing is almost unanimously bad. Rhinox is also so-so, depends on the hips you get on yours--some are very loose. Whirl is good fun. Blaster is Soundwave with an extra gun and different head
