Question What was the first anime you ever saw

What was the first anime you ever saw. It's hard for me to remember but I believe my first anime experience was either Astroboy or Battle of the Planets(a.k.a. Gatchaman)

either Star Blazers or Battle of the Planets. I remember Star Blazers better.

Not sure: Grendizer, or Alps no Heidi (sort of...), or Mazinger

Akira. I remember seeing it in the store and thinking that it looked cool, so I bought it. I was blown away (though a bit confused when I first watched it).

The oldest anime's I can remember seeing:

Samurai Pizza Cats
Gigantor
Macron 1

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
Thundercats
Not sure if those last 2 are anime, they do resemble anime

Cool Five acting as one!

Battle of the Planets and it still rocks! Just got my Volume 1 dvd box set and I love it, I don't care if it's not remastered or anything, the old looking picture quality is just part of the nostalgia.

Honestly speaking I would rate Battle of the Planets as the second best cartoon of all time, with Transformers first and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors third.

Hmm..."G Force" and "Voltron"?

That was back when Cartoon Network was starting out, back in '97.

"Real" anime-

"Venus Wars." Hail Ishtar.
