The first Anime I ever saw part way was Akira when I was about 10 and I thought it was as boring as ****e.

Then I turned 15 and got into the Guyver-killer series!

Recently I bought the Akira DVD and really like it. My brother collects Manga films so I've seen a few now...

Blackjack rules by the way!

I've only just realised my sig's been horribly misspelled for about a year or two. Aren't you happy you read that? While you're here, erm, impeach Nixon!

That's funny you say that because I think the Guyver anime series (all whopping 12 eps) is out on DVD already. My friend called me up this morning and said he got the Guyver to watch tonight and wanted me to come over while we take some 3 ft bong rips. I'm pretty sure it's on DVD because he doesn't have a VCR. Actually I think this is what he has:

http://www.crosstoy.com/guyver2dvd.html

It has subtitles and is not dubbed. Oh well it's still coo.

Voltron and Robotech. I still remember watching the very first intro episodes of Robotech.

The Guyver Data 4, I think. the one where he faces the yellow Guyver-Zoanoid.

Wolf, If you mean a Guyver that was working for the Zoanoids/Kronos corp. Then it was the 2nd episode I think. One of the employees of Kronos accidently triggered the (damaged) Guyver Unit and became Guyver 2. He isn't the only Guyver that works at Kronos. There's a 3rd Guyver..

*rant warning*

There are no less than 100 edits in that series!
Sailor Moon S is now available on dvd uncut from Pioneer. Its both subtitled and dubbed, but the dub is not the voices from the DiC cartoon (probably because DiC never aired it). They also released 3 movies: R, S, and Super s, and are starting to release Sailor Moon Super S (the 4th season not the movie). Defintely worth checking out if you ever watched the awful edited show. Now let's just hope they release the first 2 seasons!

The first anime I watched was either G-Force, Speed Racer, or Sailor Moon. The first anime I saw after learning what anime is was Akira. I saw it at my friend's house but 10 minutes away from the end his dad said we had to leave and I have still not seen the end! That was like 5 years ago!

Speaking of edited Sailormoon...

That's what our Dutch version of Cartoon Network has started airing(along with Card Captor Sakura)

It's not TOO bad, the completely Dutch dubbed version doesn't sound too bad. Though it seems that they didn't bother looking for many new voice actors, Usagi/Bunny and Mamoru/Darien's voice actors are the same ones who did Kari and Ken for our Dutch version of Digimon.

That would be the Shadow Guyver, right? I only saw the first 5 datas, and they were UK versions. Is there gonna be a DVD release of the series?

BTW, thanks Ravage.

Wolf, for the DVD see a post earlier in this thread made by dEcEpTiCoN MEGAtron.

Shadow Guyver? Not a bad name for Guyver 3, he's shadowy alright, not 100% sure what he's up to..

It's a shame that The Guyver only has 12 episodes or data as they are called. They don't show the upgraded Guyvers (not 100% sure, i missed the last 2 episodes)
