Anyone know of a reliable place to buy TF Generations Swerve and flanker? Tried Amazon with no look and while I found one on ebay the P&P from Tawain is €0.99 which makes me think its a bit dodgy.

Also looking for a generations Skids if anyone can point me in a safe direction.

Kapow do a twin-pack of Cosmos and Swerve plus the micromasters. Bit pricey factoring in postage.

Can't see any reasonably priced Skids around at the moment.

Reasonably priced Skids in Europe? Nah.

Cheapest I found on ebay cost around 30 quid before shipping.

Yep, there are no cheap skids to be found - as you say around 30 euros before additional shipping of about 20.

BUT I did bag me a singular Swerve, €24 through paypal. I am all full of hype. Should arrive bang on time for my birthday too.

I checked out that cosmos pack but I dont have a love for the green ufo guy - at least not enough to pay an extra €15 over what the swerve cost.

What sort of a world do we live in where bloody Scoop gets an entirely new Generations toy but poor old Nightbeat doesn't?

On a personal note, I consistently read Age of Extinction's acronym as "area of effect" and get confused. Over and over. Every time.

<Shrugs>

Wouldn't worry about it. Springer got something like 17 different toys that were redecos that looked nothing like him and then, BAM, they nailed the LSOTW version.

We were shown weeks ago a repaint of Jazz as Nightbeat, plus a retool of Armada Starscream with a new head as Jhiaxus.

Now we get statements that Jhiaxus is brand new, while Nightbeat is repainted/retooled from Bumblebee/Goldbug.

Which is which?

Besides Grimlock and Prime, no sign of other generations movie bots.

Really happy that from the previews and all that, it seems they kept a very good ratio of new characters/updates in the movie generations line.

Bunches of pictures at TFW now

Roadbuster looks mighty nice. Should be a fine complement to Whirl.

That Roadbuster is glorious. Yeah... yeah, I think I may have to go in on that one, as well as snag a Whirl to go with him.

Oh. Jhiaxus is orange.

**sigh**

Whatever.

Windblade (ugh, that name...), I must admit, turned out better than expected. A bit more interested in seeing and hearing about the rumored Arcee and Chromia, though.

A little concerned about the fate of that wee little Tailgate we heard about last year. Be a shame if that one got cancelled. EDIT: Err, no, wait... there he is

Jhiaxus IS using the Armada SS mould, it's just that lots of it has got retooling. Cockpit, head, wings appear entirely new?

About Jetfire's robot mode cockpit being right below the regular cockpit.

If you squint a lot, you can see voyager movie Prime and Galvatron in one picture next to FE LDR Prime.

Pretty much everything on display is a hand painted test shot. You can tell by the glare off the colouring.

Too bad there's no LDR Megatron [IDW inspired] shown. Yet.

Or some generations dlx cars from the movie. Those sound very promising.

Considering he'd got a 1984 "Main Cast" reuse in him I'd be amazed if Tailgate doesn't wind up happening.

Considering the IDW version cribs design elements from him it would make more sense for Jhiaxus to have been done from one of the Movie Starscream toys, and saved on putting an extra use on the Armadascream toy before we've even had the obvious Seekers announced yet.

EDIT: Thinking about it, as well as Windblade the Acid Storm mentioned about will presumably be this toy as well...

Pics of the generations movie bots here

With that, I think we nearly have pictures of everything mentioned?
EDIT: Pictures of tailgate, acidstorm, gears and shrapnel [legends] in my link above.

That answers some questions, and proves me almost instantly wrong on the Acid Storm thing.

I think we're still waiting on a Nightbeat pic.

Thoughts:

Generations deluxes, IDW
-Nothing extremely awesome pictured, although to be honest, besides Windblade, we've seen them all before.

Generations Voyagers, IDW/G1
-Roadbuster looks weird, but that's probably the very, very gloss colours vibrating on the strong camera flash. Otherwise, he looks like he's based on Whirl---both have many clip on misc guns, and stickers.
-Skybyte looks weaker than his original mould which came out in 1998 or something.

Generations Leaders, IDW/G1
-Jetfire looks like a nice mould, it appears Hasbro is going for some vac-metalic paint on their leaders now. Too bad about the cockpit cop out.

Generations deluxes, Movie
-Loving how they made Bumblebee, Drift and Crosshairs.
-LOVE Slug. LOVE it. WOW.
-Not so hot on Strafe. There appears to be at least 2 more---a red spinosaurus and a light blue, rarely seen velociraptor.

Generations voyagers, Movie
-Evasion Prime kind of reminds me toyworld's Orion. Looks like a fun mix between movie and IDW Prime
-Galvatron [the silver truck right after him] looks like a massive shellformer. I need to see more. Great truck mode
-Grimlock [right after Galvatron, brown] is...okay-ish. Looks more athletic and less barbaric than the LDR one. Not a fan of all the brown.

Generations Leaders, Movie
-Grimlock I really dig. He looks skeletal/messy/edgy enough. There appears to be some neat folding going on for his robot legs.
-Prime is meh. Looks a tad more complicated than the FE one, but otherwise very similar. Will have to wait him out to see who's really better.

Again, the big wow's from me are for Slug [purple COOL triceratops], and the 3 autobot cars. Voyager Prime too.

I'd like to remark on how odd it is that it looks as though BW2 Galvatron is the villain of the new movie.

Still chewing over Sky-Byte. I still have the RID one kicking around in a box somewhere and I'm not convinced yet this is a good update.

Definitely getting that Roadbuster and Death's Head though.

Quite like the Dinobots and the green Autobot with the goggles. Shan't be getting any but they're nice designs.

Some interesting stuff in here, for sure.

The blue samurai-looking guy is Movie Drift, yeah? The Generations version of him actually looks pretty sweet. None of the other movie stuff does anything for me, though I like that the Dinobots are actually pretty colourful and I'm looking forward to seeing them on the big screen.

As for the other Generations stuff...eh. Jhiaxus looks terrible, Crosscut is bland as all hell and Tankor looks like a Rescue Bot. I suppose Windblade could be worse, though I'm struggling to figure out just how at the moment. Roadbuster is okay but nothing special, and I'm disappointed that he's actually blockier and less streamlined than the G1 toy.

Sky-Byte is nice, though I'm not a huge fan of the character. I'm not sure it's actually better than the TM2 Cybershark mold though, just "different". Gears looks cool...can't tell if they remolded the head or not, though. Rattrap is awesome too, but we knew that already.

Jetfire is really, really nice, I can't deny. So nice that I'm tempted to re-evaluate my earlier "nice, but I'll stick with Classics" position...except that they're also re-releasing MP Grimlock, and that's probably going to eat up my "big expensive TF" allotment for the year if I'm able to get my filthy paws on one.
