greatest autobot ever

Post by cosmotron »

optimus prime is the obvious choice. so how about we can't say optimus.
so who then would u guys pick, if we take into account comic and cartoon continuity, of autobots with the greatest contribution to the autobot cause
possible picks
1- rodimus prime. destroyed unicron, chosen one and so on
2- emirate xarron, kept the autobot resistance alive
3- kup, old grizzled warrior, but in his time was one of the greatest autobot warriors
4- ultra magnus. was cybertron's greatest warrior
5- ratchet. well in the cartoon, he was nothing more then a robotic DOOGIE HOWSER, but in the comic, he played a pivotal role, sacrificing himself to stop megatron.
6- optimus primal from beast wars. sure he whined like rodimus, but atleast he was'nt a optimus or fire convoy clone when it came to being a leader. was'nt the perfect leader, made mistakes, but contributed a lot
well ppl? yr choices do not hv to be limited to the candidates i gave

I would put the comic versions of Ratchet, Blaster, Prowl and Grimlock up there. I would have to say that Ultra Magnus and Rodimus Prime both made great names for themselves in both the comic and cartoon continuities. Fortress Maximus on his own and with Galen as a headmaster was great. Silverbolt, Jazz, Wheeljack, Impactor, Alpha Trion and Emirate Xaron are also up for honourable mentions for things they did in various continuities.

This kinda feels like a favorite character thread.
Greatest Autobot/Favorite Autobot

See where I'm going with this?

In any case, Rodimus is the only one I'd put atop the list. The others, well, I can't be bothered to rank anyone right now.

Poser.
Anyway, why has no one mentioned the Last Autobot? I'd say reviving most of the remaining Autobots and saving the war for the good guys might have been some good.

I would pick Alpha Trion. He created Optimus Prime (and Magnus?), he's the wisest autobot, and despite being dead, he's saved the autobots a good few times. He's also one with Vector Sigma. I doubt just anyone could do that. And there's the fact that he looks cool too.

Without a doubt, Rodimus Prime. Sure, he was no Optimus, but he did a good job in his own right...just wish he wasn't such a whiner.

Probably because a lack of any discernable personality usually negates any significant acts in the minds of observers...but then again, that never manages to cast out Tailgate...

I don't agree with greatest=favorite, I love Omega Supreme, but his not exactly Mr. contribution or charisma.
I'd say in a strange way, Ironhide was the spirit of the autobots, always remembering the cause, and eventually dying for it( at least in the cartoon, I'm stiil in issue #4 regarding the comics).

Oh, he has a personality. You know, "Let my fellow mechanical beings go!"
No, wait. That's just a gimmick...

Hot Rod-He's more confident in that form.
Cartoon Galvatron-He slags more of his own men than any Autobot I know. Because he is such a big help to the Autobot cause, he might as well be mentioned here.

I'd go with Fortress Maximus.
