Have fun, everyone. I hope I'll make it next year, but this year I couldn't really say no to free Green Man tickets.

Transformers: Unicron

I've picked up the first two issues of this (so glossy!), but haven't read them yet. I'm wondering if it might be best to wait until I've read to the end of Optimus Prime before starting them. The chronology is so unclear... I mean, I've read the FCBD #0 already, but I'd prefer to read the rest in c...

I had assumed you might be ;-) See you there! Sorry I haven't asked to purchase volume two of your book, I'm a bit overloaded with stuff to read at the moment, and I haven't got round to volume one yet. I'll get there in the end!

So, who is going to TFNation? I will be there on the Saturday and Sunday (looking forward to hopefully picking up one or two annotated scripts from Roberts before the good ones get sold out!)

Avatar came out at Christmas too, though (as did TFA, of course).

Thanks for that! I think I'd seen it before but forgotten about it. I think mine are the right way round, but the tips in there about adjusting the knees are invaluable. He can now almost stand normally without looking like a permanent hunchback.

Finally got around to opening the Takara Legends Skids i purchased at TFN this evening. Very pretty, but wow: he really doesn't like standing up unless you bend him almost double, does he?

Why is one of his arms moulded hollow, unlike the other? I thought it was to save space for the transformation but no, they don't tab together that way. It's to store his gun when he's in mp3 player mode, and then to forget about it and nearly break it when you try to transform it again (see my pos...

I found myself a TR Rewind over the weekend. He's a nice little Legends figure, and his silhouette and deco match the original look pretty well. Tank mode is kind of worthless, but the iPod mode has a surprising amount of detail, including screen icons, a molded on/off button and a headphone jack. ...

you could quite literally have it, and the two dozen or so MTMTE nerds on twitter who've blocked me because I dared say that James Roberts isn't the greatest writer in the history of forever don't know my real name It's not so much worry that I'd have to pretend to be you specifically that makes me...

If you want to pretend to be me, you can have mine because at the end of the day, nearly £500 for a long weekend in Brum, and especially out in the arse end of the city, isn't that appealing to me Wow, that's very kind; but I think I'd feel uncomfortable having to explain to all the people I meet t...

I am thinking about going to TFNation on just the Sunday; trying to decide whether the programme announced is worth it. Sadly (well, not really) I will have gone to Nine Worlds the weekend before this, so I'm not sure I can justify the whole weekend... Anyway, I know I'm not terribly vocal on this s...

And surprise, surprise, Ryall is throwing around that terrible recent article equating all fandom concerns and criticisms with overly demanding entitlement. If he hadn't earned my contempt with his previously-exhibited lack of talent and inability to keep any continuity straight, this has cemented i...
