Ah. I vaguely remember noticing that some British show on the Sci-Fi Channel in the early 90s looked like that and thinking it was "a British thing". Maybe it was Doctor Who (the one with the scarf and the curly hair), but I was real young and didn't watch a lot of it, so I may be misremembering. Al...

Now I'll feel bad if you don't like it. As a word of warning if you're not familiar with old British TV is it's shot on multi-camera video rather than single camera set up film, some people find that distracting. Does that mean it has that "soap opera" or "home movie" look, if you know what I'm get...

Hey, I'm posting in this thread because I got a DVD recommendation from another thread and just bought it off of Amazon. "The Stone Tapes". I'd never heard of it before, but it sounds good and I'm kind of running out of haunted house and ghost story films. Been having to scrape the bottom of the bar...

I've sort of viewed the "Twilight" series as basically being female-marketed preposterous, steamy romance novels but with vampires in them. You know; the kind of romance novels that used to have Fabio on the cover? And I... don't think I'm too off the mark. It's so far out of my demographic I never ...

The only 007 books I've read are "Dr. No" and "The Spy Who Loved Me". It was middle school, I think, but I remember enjoying "Dr. No", even the bit where Bond fights the octopus (the deathtrap laden airvent is really dull in the movie compared to the book; maybe it could've used an octopus). To a mi...
