Ratchet and Religion - I get he is the skeptic but is it not fair to say that a lot of ex-rid implies that there is way more truth to the transformer religion than most real religions? There are actual artifacts that do actual things. Galvatron seemed to know the effective apostoles in the first li...

I'm never certain about these 'will new readers get it' arguments. We were all new readers of an ongoing comic at some point (or viewers of a tv show, etc.), including the Transformers, many of us from a time before there were wonderful things like Comixology for easy back issues, and TF wiki for al...

with a perfectly adequate proper Marvel DH toy It's pretty crappy, to be honest. It barely stands up, the weapons struggle to stay clipped into the back, as does the shield, and his chest-plate isn't attached. And it's not his best (original) costume. I haven't even started on the lack of poseable ...

Auntie Slag wrote:You're right, I didn't notice the difference in spelling; Damus (Glitch), and Demus (the dodgy Decepticon monoformer)! Cool, no link there at all.
Perhaps we'll discover Damus used to be part of a three-bot combiner team along with his comrades Chaka and Pliers.

I understand what you're saying, but this is another example of what I was talking about before, this assumption that everyone reading the book is a hardcore fan. What's a person whose not active in the TF fandom or "in the know" about things like the wiki supposed to do? Or someone who d...

Auntie Slag: While you're on the wiki, Glitch was actually called 'Damus'. On the subject of the wiki, the list of references to past issues is quite intimidating, and given that I can't see how anyone can say this stuff wasn't planned. It also seems curious to complain that we 'have' to look at the...

Yeah, Jack's an old TMUKer, though he went pro many years ago. "Lions, Tigers and Bears" was a prominent work of his. He draws amazing Transformers and I've been waiting for IDW to bring him onboard for years. Very exciting news.

I don't think what happens in this issue explains the way Skids was moping in the last one. There was a scene (it might have been the two issues previous), where Rung says goodbye as he goes off with Nightbeat, and Skids can barely muster a farewell. It was very odd. Being the super learner Bond ty...

(though as with most of her pop culture references, can anyone see her sitting down to watch Hawaii 5-0?) "5-0" has long been slang for the cops among (formerly) young degenerates like myself. See also "the Feds". The actual incongruity is that it's British slang (unless someone...

But the IDW comics were designed from Day 1 to be as G1 as possible to appeal to the nostalgia crowd. They started with hiring the most G1 writer possible in Simon Furman, who proceeded to write exactly the same characters as he always did, and most of them in exactly the same ways as he had when h...

The nanontech Denyer mentions above was part of yet another on-going TMUK plot largely written by Martin McVay under the umbrella title 'The Nanobot Conspiracy'. This involved a HUGE number of stories set all over the TMUK timeline and involved all the Transformers with special powers (what we would...
