Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
Also, "I'm not anti vax, but my argument for not taking the vaccination is the anti vax one" is not a great way to convince people that you are not anti vax. I've had all my vaccinations I've ever been offered when they have gone through years of testing. MMR, Meningitis, annual Flu shot ...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
Unpopular opinion in this thread but I've cancelled my vaccine appointment. I'm not anti-vax and fully agree with them but my reasoning is I am happy to accept the risk to myself of Covid (about 1 in a thousand I think for under 40's in general and I'm in good health so possibly lower) whilst furthe...

Re: Site content and community revitalization project
I agree with Auntie, YouTube discussions and Twitch events seem the more popular options these days. I regularly will goon and just watch 10-15 minute video after video with discussions and history about characters. I watch a lot of lord of the rings ones where they will be something like "Wher...

Shorts and T-Shirts every day for me now.
I think I've worn jeans about 3 times in the last 12 months (When I've forgotten something in the online shop and had to go outside to the real world)

Re: So Glad To Be Here/Introduce Yourselves Here
Hi guys I'm Helium, new to here. Found this place while searching for the original document of Eugenesis (thanks to the translation of tea-tac-tan- on weibo(Chinese Twitter, kinda.)). Since my English speaking is terrible, it might sounds weird when I'm typing. So, please tell me if I look like a bu...

Re: Dalek and Warcry's Endless Star Trek Thread
And since my last post the show has gone downhill very quickly
Season 3 has decided to expand on all the annoying bits.. I am starting to dread the weekly watchings though I'm invested at the moment so unable to stop no matter what direction it appears to be going

Re: Dalek and Warcry's Endless Star Trek Thread
I've been really enjoying the first few seasons of Discovery (I binged on it on Netflix). It has strayed somewhat from typical Star Trek series and seems to focus a lot on a few core characters with the rest being almost cameo in nature rather than an expanded crew as previous shows felt obliged to ...

Otherwise the expected sporting awards for Olympians but sadly not for Shane Williams who broke the all time Try scoring record in Wales, won the 6 Nations and became the IRB World Rugby player of the year. Also where is Nicole Cooke who acomplished a first in her Olympic and World cycling double w...

If you know where I can get a cheap licensed copy of 2003, or a very cheap media-only kit, incidentally, I'm all ears. Copies seem to be thin on the ground these days. We've got about 1000 in work though I have no idea how many of them are not on a machine at the moment and also how much they are. ...

You tried looking for a copy of Office 2003? IMO far better than 2007 for the simple fact that 2k7 saves files in a way that is only compatible with other 2k7 users. ok, I know you can tell it to save the file in 2k3 format but you have to actually go in and change teh settings when you save it - pa...

No love for Linux? Where's Computron? I've actually become a huge Microsoft fanboy since I've started working heavily with computers. Jets you might be right that those people have done all those but considering I don't know I would guess is a fair indication that a large percentage of the british population don't know as I doubt too many people follow cyclng/ swimming that well. One thing I generally expect from a winner/ nominee...

To be honest none of them deserve sports personality of the year. 95 - Jonathan Edwards 96 - Damon Hill 97 - Greg Ruzedski 98 - Michael Owen 99 - Lenox Lewis 00 - Steve Redgrave 01 - David Beckham 02 - Paula Radcliffe 03 - Jonny Wilkinson All of these winners were well known prior to winning. To be honest it sounds like a latency issue rather than a download issue. Games do't really need fast download speeds so much as a fast response time. This might sound confusing but some fast broadband connections have slow response times before the fast download occurs. The best example (and most e...
