Just recently picked up a 1981 Matchbox Voltron III. Yellow lion has a broken foot, but it looks to be a replaceable part if I can find a cheap one with a chrome foot somewhere.

Turns out it was a Matchbox Voltron III, not a Popy one, but that's OK. I decided to go with it just because it's not a knockoff, I've read too much stuff about lead paint on the Lionbot sets, and I can probably pick up some accessories like the sword/shield on eBay.

Voltron opinion

Struggling with a choice. I can get a Y&K GB-36 Popy Voltron without accessories and with a yellow lion that has one of its front feet broken off, or I can get a Lionbot still in the box with all the accessories. Anyone have any opinions on which would be the better choice?

7/10 - Rodimus would be better served with a nice cream sauce and some baby carrots. :D

Question about Hasbro reissue Red Alert...

Is Hasbro's version of Red Alert completely diecast? Or is his front end made of plastic? I can't tell by looking at him while he's sealed up. I had bought Blue/Silverstreak, but I was kinda miffed that parts of him like his doors and fenders were plastic instead of diecast.

*sigh*....I hate having mismatched collections. :D I've already got the older Takara reissue of Starscream and the New Year's Prime. So there's not much sense in my buying the new reissues, except that I'll have gaps in my "TF Collection" reissues if I don't! (well, I don't seem to be able to get my...

I'm too tired to remember the exact episode, but I always got a kick out of the ep where Bumblebee basically sat on Spike and Chip as he was transforming and they magically ended up inside of him. :p

Yes, I admit it...I ended up picking up both jumpstarters...but they're both stickerless and weaponless and I already have them, so these might become sacrifices for the rummage sale gods. :D And yes, those are Stunticons. No Motormaster, though. Actually I think my biggest surprise was to find four...

The strange thing about it was that his sister was holding the rummage sale. I don't know if he really wanted all his TFs sold, but she sold them anyways. I won't complain, though. My wife was even excited about it....I couldn't pass that up! ;)

I have found faith in rummage sales!

I don't like to gloat too much, but I'm feeling the need now. Check out this pic! Sorry for the poor quality, but I was too lazy to take everything out of the bags (there's probably about 75 of them) and was running out of room to put everything out and still be in the same room. I didn't get out th...

Pretty spiffy...and they're all TRU exclusives too! Almost makes me wish I hadn't put down the money for New Year's Optimus......almost. :D I've got the originals of Hot Rod (2 of 'em!) and Magnus and they're both in pretty good shape.

As Savannahtron said, you'll need the peg to use the gun when in robot mode. I never understood why they didn't either make the gun peg longer and made to fit, or make the red piece part of the gun. There's no point in separating the two. I never had Ironhide, but on my Ratchet I don't think that pe...

I would say that if you have him out of the box, make him as complete as you can. Put on the stickers and use the missiles. I've always thought that the Decepticon symbol should be right-side-up when in robot mode, but that's just me.

I had all of my boxes for the longest time, just stacked up in my closet. Then my mom told me that I couldn't keep them, so I flattened them all out. A few months later that still wasn't good enough, so I cut out all the tech specs and backs and threw most of the rest away. Eventually, I even threw ...

Actually, a pic of the receipt would probably make it more believable.... I know people did that when RiD first came out to prove that they actually found it in a store.
