Lew Stringer threw around a few suggestions in his Robocapers strips for Marvel UK back in the eighties. My own suggestion however would be a Betamax video tape.

There's one episode in Season 1 where the Autobots are being washed downstream and Optimus Prime is a kind of blue/grey colour instead of red. Does water do that to Transformers? There is also one (I think its Fire In The Sky) where the Autobots are in an ice cavern and Primes trailer appears and di...

So...63 hits between four bands in one decade somehow equates to them not being successful or prominent. That's some funny logic. Madonna had 22 hits during the eighties with all of them bar one hitting the top ten. Shakin' Stevens had 30 hits in the eighties, Bananarama had 21 hits and Queen had 2...

which of those two do The Smiths, The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen, New Order etc, etc and so on neatly pidgeonhole into? The Smiths had 16 hits in the eighties and only reached the top ten on two occasions. The Cure had 17 hits in the eighties and only reached the top ten on two occasions. Echo &...

Despite being a fan of 80's music I don't actually rate A-Ha much. Sure, Take On Me was a good track and others such as The Living Daylights and Cry Wolf weren't too bad they just tended to fall too easily into the photogenic boyband catagory and as such got less successful after their debut hit (wh...

Get the most popular singer in the old Soviet Block to do it for us.

Yer, get Tatu to do it for us. A lesbian won it for Serbia this year maybe a pair of them can do it for us next year!

There has been quite a bit of talk both before and after the Eurovision Song Contest about how rubbish Scooch were (which I agree to) but they have done (slightly) better songs. When My Baby More Than I Needed To Know Both of these were released in 1999 which, for some reason, I quite liked at the t...

Prince Harry won't be sent to Iraq

I saw on the news that Prince Harry will not be allowed to fight in Iraq even though he has said he wants to.

It seems that the government only wants to send the 'expendable' members of this country to the warzone and not anybody of any real significence.

As a fan of racing games such as the Burnout series I have had an idea for some time now about a G1 Transformers racing game. You could select which character you want to race as and the more races / events you complete you unlock more races, characters and even a few challenges (Optimus Prime vs. M...

Riiiiiiiiight. Actualy plot developments that were memorable. Uh-huh, sure. We all know you just liked watching 14-year-old Minerva in her swimsuit or Prince Cab's up-the-tunic shots.

You obviously noticed them because those scenes passed me by when I last watched the series.

F1 isn't as good as it used to be

Formula One just isn't the sport it used to be. In the fifties we had greats such as Fangio and Moss wrestling with cars that were essentially metal coffins on wheels while in the sixties we had Colin Chapman pushing forward the designs of the cars but still making them a vehicle for the real Grand ...

The contest was a bit embarrassing to say the least. We only got points off Ireland and Malta (the only two countries in the contest that were connected to Britain politically) and Serbia won it on their debut attempt as an individual entrant from that woman who looked like Timmy Mallet. Oh, and we ...

Masterforce because it has some interesting and down-to-earth characters in it. Okay, so it borders on the Power Rangers type genre but who can forget when Giga and Mega switched sides at the end and paid for their traitorous decision or when Buster and Hydra decided to ditch their human forms and b...

Maybe they read about Unicron in a book or something seeing that he has been around since the dawn of time (well, in the comics he has anyway and the movie does connect in some way to the UK Marvel comics).

Have you seen the artists impression of the kidnapper that supposedly took her? All it is is just a pencil sketch of a egg with a toupee. How many criminals do they expect to find that look like that? The Portuguese cops have their work cut out! Besides, it is the parents fault this all happened any...

Snooker: Mark Selby loses in the final

I was dissappointed that Mark Selby lost in the final of the Snooker World Championship to John Higgins. Its not everyday that someone from Leicester makes a name for himself in a major televised sport and, as someone who lives in Leicestershire, I was hoping that he would go on to win after putting...

"In The Song Formally Known As?, there's a line that says, "I wanna know why Germans ain't funny." Or does it say "I wanna know why chairmen ain't funny?" If the line says Germans, I'm sorry, but I have to tell you that they are. And there's lots of Wildhearts fans over her...

They should rename our Song For Europe contest after another UK Eurovision winning song - Sandie Shaw's 'Puppet on a String' - at least that would be more appropriate!
