Sorry, I meant clean breaks as in the edges of the breaks are clean: no stress marks or tearing like you'd see on normal plastic breakage. That's a fair bet, yeah. If not GPS then something like it. I mean, sure, toys break. But they usually don't crumble to pieces like this unless the plastic has started to decay. And it reminds me a fair bit of how my G2 Slingshot fell apart back in the day -- clean breaks in the plastic coming off ...

check for signs of GPS. I'm not saying that absolutely is the cause, but it might be.
