I don't care about the functionist universe, I don't care about ****ing Rung, I hate Anode, Lug and Kaput (I mean, REALLY??????), the art is abysmal and I really don't like Tailgate's characterisation any more

I play Eve Online. At 8pm on New Years Day, I logged in to take part in a massive battle that, if memory serves, eventually saw 3,000 people shooting each other in internet spaceships. I finally managed to get myself logged off at 4am, having been in the battle since, ooh, 9pm or so

Optimus Prime #2

Didn't like the actual Junkions, but the explanation for what happened to their planet... woah, that's kind of a big deal. I'm also liking the Prowl in the past stuff and want to see where that's heading. All in all, enough intrigue to keep my interest even from the human characters.

I'm done with the functionists, I really am because we've seen how far it could go before, and we don't need to retread that ground *unless* there's something truly groundbreaking there which... well I doubt there will be.

And please don't think I'm bitching for the sake of being contrary or anything like that because quite clearly Roberts is a really good writer, but this feels lazy and cliched and... like I've read it all before. Except there's no warmth, there's no real gags apart from a tired one about Magnus bein...

So, as a soft reboot for new readers, they can read the main story and be utterly confused by it, but it's okay because there's a five page f*cking recap to get them up to speed. This is bad writing and an absolute clanger dropped by editorial: if you have to have that much recap to have the main st...

Lost Light Number One

Well... this is awful, just awful. The art is terrible, and it reads like someone got hold of the entire run of More Than Meets The Eye and tried to write a book in the same style, but recycled all of the worst tropes that Roberts relies on like a crutch. - new characters that have mysterious pasts?...

No. Without wanting to sound like any more of a bastard than I do usually no, no it shouldn't. You know Chris Sarracini's circumstances when he was writing Prime Directive? Eric Holmes' during Megatron: Origin? Mike Costa's? Michael Bay's? Chuck Austen's when he was running X-Men into the ground? N...

I think it should also be noted that Nick had a family bereavement in the middle of the run. Can't help but think that that might have been playing on his mind during the creation of the series. As for the series itself, my initial point still stands: it feels like being dropped into a box set four ...

I had to go rummaging back through the Wiki but this is why I don't think Tarn will ever be focused on again: "Goodbye, Glitch. I want you to die with one thought in your head: everything you did was for nothing." Megatron has essentially invalidated his entire reason for existing. We don'...

Nah, Tarn's run is over... finished. Megatron's speech to him just before murdering him gave me all the background and closure I'll ever need for him. Stick a fork in him, he's done

There has been some new filming in Northumberland and Newcastle. The footage is on the Daily Mail's site so not linking to that fascist rag, but it looks like Drift has a new colour scheme, but the only Autobots in Newcastle were Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Drift and Hot Rod The Optimus Murderer

RE: The Ores. It seems that the ore on Earth was the only one that evolved correctly, and the planet that Kup was stranded on was one that was seeded and went haywire. Presumably after finding out what happened to the other ores Shockwave went nuts and decided to bring about the end of the universe....

I picked up the paper copy of this today. Really nice work on Max and Red, and great to see them back. It offers a different feel to a regular MTMTE issue. I enjoyed Cerebros, but how has he not expressed any interest in Spinister; a character with the ability to reverse a lobotomy and teach it to ...
