For me, it's Armada Prime all the way - no redeeming qualities whatsoever

I think only Headmasters was supposed to be a direct continuation of G1 (created because Takara didn't want to wait for The Rebirth to be completed and dubbed).

Masterforce and Victory were (AFAIK) supposed to be pretty much stand alone...

all in all, while I understand the criticism on Energon, it's still a matter of personal taste in animation and storytelling...

well, again, it's a matter of personal taste, I guess.. while I found BW's CGI look really nice, I didn't like the fact that everything (including animals, locales, etc) seemed too "robotic". I think that both Super link and Galaxy Force captured the feel of the big alien mechanical robots...
