Re: Transformation: The Marvel UK Website and Now Book! Plus Dalek's Other Published Works.

Nice job. I'll check out the blog itself more at some point, have always meant to, but I know that realistically the best chance of doing so is if I wind up reading it all whilst proof-reading. That might not be the best way of doing it with comics I haven't followed because no images, but it'll sti...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

Scotland's great (still problems in poorer areas). Wales can be very parochial unless you aim for the big/tourist areas. The main advantage of the not-for-much-longer-UK is that there isn't far between point A and point B. Yeah, shitty behaviour. There are a lot of companies that won't be getting bu...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

Neat! LEGO tends to be my go-to for parts in other customs too -- there's always something that can replace a neck/joint when you're putting action figures back together or be the base for a weapon. Must dig out a Bionicle trident for Hammerbyte actually. I wasn't sure that the ball joints would sup...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

So I think my plan is a "new" style traditional boxy one in black, having a play with LDD first and then for realz. Far from a good photo but I finally got around to taking one for people who asked. :) https://i.imgur.com/ChzKH9S.jpg The design is a bit too intricate to be fun (it models the inside...

Exhaust is nice but I was more hoping we'd get Slicer this time around. Still, a good option for the mold if, like me, you have enough good Wheeljacks
Pretty nice. I can see that working as part of a merc team.

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

A cynical person might think such businesses are being given the green light to reopen so they can't file for government assistance. Totally the case here. Plus there'll be an idiotic political decision shortly to relax 2m distancing driven by pubs. I'm just hoping (against experience) that there i...

Re: Power Of The Primes Sinnertwin

I'm sure there is still re-use, but it'll be the cash-in red Swoops, Ricochets, G2 Bruticus/Menasor sets, etc. which are easy money whilst still being relatively premium priced product to balance the risk of being stuck with stock. And I'm sure it's still expensive to produce good quality moulds, bu...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

To stop COVID-19 we need to completely change almost everything in our life: how we work, exercise, socialize, shop, manage our health, educate our kids, take care of family members. We all want things go back to normal quickly. But what most of us have probably not yet realized - some things never...

Re: X-Men is getting a bit meta (recent-ish comic spoilers)

Well, ordered that. It'll want re-reads. Been a while since I skimmed anything making notes. There are elements of the City of the Saved as well as Culture-esque backups, plus Subliming, and all of this is going to make future writing that hits a reset button more jarring than usual, assuming it's t...

Re: Power Of The Primes Sinnertwin

They can't be retooling actual moulds for such significantly different parts though, can they? I concede that it's a pattern that later *similar* figures have poorer tolerances, but modern manufacturing means CAD files and precision cutting has to be more the norm? The oversizing of the AOYI knock o...

Looked into it and I've enabled other file extensions for attachments, including zip. Most of the commonest ones are in the archives in http://tfarchive.com/fandom/fonts/ or the final versions will be at http://www.pixelsagas.com/ (and his wife is still handling commercial licensing for those needin...

Chees for the briefing. Don't think I've come across him, the X books are really the only thing I kept up with at all and when they ran out of ideas and started racing through their greatest hits and more reality warping alt-universe hookum in shrinking circles not even that; it looks like he's prev...

I'll fix the links later when I'm back on my own PC, it's just because a couple of pages got moved. Thanks for pointing it out.

Sadly, Neale (Jaynz/TFVanguard) passed away a few years ago.

X-Men is getting a bit meta (recent-ish comic spoilers)

https://screenrant.com/xmen-alive-cloned-house-x-marvel-comics/ I should stress I'm not actually following Marvel at the moment (but spoil away if you are, I'll happily read things I know the endings to -- in some ways it's a plus with how variable the output is) and happened to spot this article wh...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

That's basically why it won't be stopped. There aren't that many diseases that have been completely eradicated. The best-case scenario is a fairly effective vaccine that reduces the severity even in cohorts that don't usually get maximum benefit from vaccines, and it's new territory.

Re: The Transformers Partwork Discussion Thread.

Yeah, I think people would do well to pick up as much reprinted Marvel stuff as they can (only fair since it's available and deserves to stay in circulation and benefit whoever's currently got the licence) and then as far as actually reading it goes, get a full set of cover-to-cover scans. And once ...

Hasbro now feels confident that they can charge almost $20 for a figure that's slightly bigger than PotP Outback
It's shocking isn't it? Same height and same amount of plastic as Legends Seaspray.
