Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

Bottom line for me is: try to get this bunch of the (deleted expletive) entitled to obey anything they’re told. Definitely not saying it wouldn't be a step forwards for slightly more than half of the population to find themselves in small dinghies ten miles off the coast at night, both for the inst...

G2 repaint of either the Siege or Earthrise Megatron... tempting to have a more modern voyager one. https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/08/14/transfomers-generations-selects-g2-megatron-revealed-417115 https://i.imgur.com/et3VvL4.jpg https://i.imgur.com/et3VvL4.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OZIk4XO.png https://...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

I’m not blaming the government, if I’m honest, for more than mixed messages given out as the Titanic is sinking I am. There are other countries that have handled things as well as could have been expected -- NZ is an island and acted fast enough to make a big impact in addition to emphasising socia...

Re: Hi - the prodigal returns

If he'd done a continuation of G2 -- even an extended version of Alignment -- would probably have been up for that. It was nice that Regen gave us covers work from Senior, etc. but from what I skimmed of the story it didn't appeal. Maybe one day when I can find the enthusiasm for an alt-universe sto...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

It's not really been a deliberate phenomenon -- there were some comments early on in sporting circles about it being the best way to move on with events/seasons, but not people actively gambling. Just not a lot of patience left with official restrictions, on the whole people are being careful about ...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

It's been an absolute fucking shambles, hasn't it? There's no way to safely open schools or pubs/hospitality and the next thing will be families with older/vulnerable household members killed by kids bringing it home (and anyone who thinks kids not being in school traumatises them, being responsible...

All working pretty successfully so far. Been listening to Flint Dille, bought a t-shirt, got some stuff from Toy-Fu, having a look at Forge people at the moment. I'm guessing the videos will be saved at https://www.twitch.tv/tfnation_official afterwards. As well as things on YouTube you can also fin...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

MAGA Jazz to go with Titans Return Bumblebee and the 5" Authentics Grimlock (and a knackered CW Optimus I'm idly patching back together with LEGO) as a sort of updated Classic Pretender squad. Setting aside the Hasbro ****wit who was probably popping over from the Joes product team, it's actually q...

Not everyone's on Twitter and I don't think anyone's really posted about the fact there *is* a weekend event online in lieu of the normal TFNation convention? https://tfnation.com/blog/big-broadcasts/the-big-broadcast-of-2020-digital-attendee-pack Which is happening on the Friday as well as the Satu...

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS

Maybe it's the IDW comics making functionalism a prominent thing (I largely ignored Armada -- although it did headline the fact that Minicons largely just wanted to be left alone) but it's a bit grim having sentient beings turn into ramps, shields, melee weapons, engines, etc isn't it? And it's been...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Hubcap's rather good -- less boring than the main Cliffjumper use, and the lemon yellow differentiates from yet another Bumblebee. In the absence of other meaningful characterisation I'm imagining junior spiv Colin Matthews from Press Gang and have given him a massive chest Autobot symbol to add to ...

Seen over lunch -- specifically about an un-produced MASK submarine vehicle but it's a good round up of token female characters in 80s media;

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Fangry and Squuezeplay = same mould again, probably. Horri-Bull maybe Weirdwolf. A Jackpot out of POTP Jazz (like the earlier Classics con redeco) would make sense before the mould disintegrates. Quickmix I suspect doesn't stand a chance with mould reuse potential. Planes are far more versatile with...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

Apparently there's some scientific basis to the likelihood that one circulating virus will elbow another out in a population.

Surprised if any area's got the plods to do anything on public transport or at retail.
