I agree that it's annoying seeing TF's get killed by humans, but the people I know who aren't big fans and they all say they get a kick out of seeing the good ol' US of A saving the day. "The Americans are ordering a counter offensive!" "About bloody time!" Just because he's disguised as an electric...

Many Autobots, including guys like Skids and Mudflap (and Ironhide and Jazz, for that matter), probably don't give a good goddamn about offending humans Agreed. I'm surprised Ironhide didn't just blow the whiny parachute government man away after Prime died. And the Twins probably thoroughly enjoy ...

Prime: Cullen all the way, though I personally think his movie voice is slightly better than his G1 voice. Very old and soldiery- like a big, robotic Solid Snake Megatron Slightly harder. I like Weaving's when he does it right- "Is it fear or courage that compells you, fleshling?" sends shivers dow...

Anyone else get a Star Wars vibe from this movie? The Fallen refers to Megatron as 'my apprentice', he wields this awkward looking staff from the center like a double-sided lightsaber, he makes stuff float and tosses tanks around with his mind, et cetera. I think it's just the vaguely mystical flav...

Also — Jolt. What's the guy's problem? He didn't appear in the introductory scene in Shanghai, he barely appeared when the government apprehended the Autobots/NEST, before hiding in the backgrounds, until Prime needs an upgrade. What's up with that? I'm curious. I can only assume Jolt's scenes were...

the "humor" was almost universally for stupid people. Not only stupid people like stupid humour. Sometimes a duff episode of Family Guy can raise just as many laughs as a Jasper Fforde book. I know the humour was stupid, but my head's not so far up my arse as to not be able to admit it was quite fu...

Nah, see, for some time Transformers has been divided between stuff aimed at kids and stuff aimed at an older teens/twenty-something audience True, but I don't think its fair to say the film is aimed entirely at that audience. For the general pulic (i.e, people who are never going to come on this w...

I agree that going for the stupid, modern "trilogy" approach would be wrong, but if they do go for that Unicron would be a good route. His defeat would be the only thing that would be a big enough deal for them to get away with saying it can restore the All-Spark. Personally. I would have Galvatron ...

Why is it, all of a sudden, all the transformers spit? Megs, Starscream, Prime, and Jetfire all let loose with mouth juice. Where'd that come from? That annoyed me a little bit as well. Prime only spat out broken parts and Jetfire was old and leaky, but why were Screamy and Megs spitting everywhere...

In my eyes the future stuff in Terminator is best left untouched, to be honest. It's like, for example, the heist in Reservoir Dogs - we don't need to see it because that's not really what the story's about and nothing they show can beat what you imagine. I'm inclined to agree, now that you've said...
