Not even Michael Bay said that they were based on "gangsta's". Acording to him, they're just supposed to be a couple of hyper-active kids who aren't very bright. That does pretty much sum them up. Whereas Jazz was clearly meant to be an actual "gangsta", the twins are just, and I can't repeat this ...

When five go down and six come up, could it be that when they revived megs they had some juice left to get blackout as well? That would explain him being in the woods later, as well.

Nice. I love it when friends are clearing out their rooms or attics/getting rid of their old crap they are too old for because they're hip and happenin young adults and think ''oh Sean might like this'' Some times people even pick stuff out at car boot sales for me. It is brilliant. I can always te...

Not ironic; that's exactly why they don't want their brand to be associated with anything involving fighting. Well, yeah, if you want to put thought into it, but that ruins the joke. But no, I can see their point, even if it only draws attention to something I doubt many people would have considere...

I wouldn't classify them as stereotype "black" at all, at least to me. More like stereotype back-woods country hick. Having seen the film, the way they talk is very much the "gangsta" thing. makes me sigh and wish that Bay et al had just gone a different route and avoided the comparison entirely. I...

Having now seen them both, I can safely say Transformers. It's so much more fun- Terminator was po-faced without being particularly gripping. It felt like America trying to be british. A british disaster story (triffids, reign of fire, war of the worlds) is about the aftermath, the human drama. Term...

The twins were a more blatant and ridiculous stereotype than jazz in the first one, but i dont think they're gonna offend anyone. They reminded me most of white, middle-class kids who think they're gangstas (ie. most of the people i went to school with)

Wasn't there something about VW not wanted to be involved in the first one as well? Ironic, since the VW was made for the Nazis :p

Hmm, nice little read. Barely scrapes the surface, but hits the nail on the head.
As for ''Barely comprehenible action'' there was far less of that than in the first film

This is a toughy to write. On the one hand: the action was absolutely stunning. Optimus jumping out of the plane, the fight with three Decepticons, Jetfire kicking bottom, the car chasing, the massive, massive ammount of massive, massive robots. There were nods to the cartoons: the matrix of leaders...

I work in a Tesco store (in England) and on the rare occassions we get Transformers, there doesn't seem to be any logic besides the price point. The last ones we had were some Robot Replicas and it was essentially a crate full of Frenzies, with one or two Optimus Primes and a single Jazz.

My Robovision Optimus prime has shot me a few times while i sleep . . . I think maybe there is something about spring-loaded weapons! Once or twice, my Beatmix Bumblebee has played little snippets of songs I've never used him to play. I think he's being used behind my back . . . On a similar note, I...

Not seeing the film until monday ( ) and I'm going to Glastonbury enxt week, so I've avoided making any purchases
A friend, however, recently found me a huge box of transformers in his attic! All the combaticons, dreadwing and more and all it cost me was a couple ciders and a tequila sunrise!

I don't keep things in boxes (toys are made for playing!) but I always keep the instructions, which often means keeping part of the packaging, and if somethings real pricey (masterpiece etc) or has particularly nice packaging, I sometimes keep the box in my cupboard sans toy

Many teaser posters only have the title logo or something as insignificant. True. On the other hand, some teaser posters are awesome. Look at Terminator Salvation, with the terminator face made of damaged city. That is super impressive without giving much away. For the first film, an autobot logo w...

Well yeah... I understand your sarcasm. But just look at the triology of Spiderman: First it was action packed with some humor and some coolness. Then it became more and more important to kiss with MJ and the last one was just dramatic bad because Spidey's feelings were too important. Also; please ...
