UW Defensor: Pulled the money together for this bad boy because I have this odd attachment to Defensor, and the Protectobots as a whole, from when I was a kid. When I saw that the Takara set came with a proper Groove that wouldn't be sold separately I knew I'd have to get the set.

I may go ahead and spring for the UW Bruticus as well now, even though I've already got the Hasbro limbs, do some mix and match, and re-purpose the other guys. I'm not a huge fan of Brawl's "I"m SO ANGRY" face, but it's not like you can see it when he's a leg anyhow. Other then that, looks good. I'm...

I already have 4 out of the 5 Combaticons for CW. I guess if I skip Onslaught they can continue to be the limbs for another torso and order the UW one.

CW Blast-Off - This finishes my set of Combaticon limbs. He doesn't seem to transform as well as my Arielbot versions of the mold. I don't know if that's mold degredation, general bad QC, or if he's just stiff because he's new. He looks good, though. No Onslaught yet, so I've got them attached to G...

My wife got me a CW Swindle, knowing my unnatural love for the character in general. He's an alright retool of Rook. I like the colors and the changes they made. My only real complaint is that his hips are a touch loose. But putting him on the shelf with the rest of the CW stuff leads to one glaring...

My wife was super nice and let me pick up a CW Brawl before Christmas. I'm torn. I want to like him. I really really do, but his waist comes untabbed super easy and looks a little daft from the side. That combined with his turret not being able to turn kind of kills the figure for me, which is sad b...

RID Optimus Prime and Megatronus : Snagged these two over the start of the holiday shopping season out at TRU. Not a whole lot to say, really. Both rather simple figures, nothing glaringly bad considering the line, and decent designs. I'm not as huge fan of the RiD look as I was Prime, but they occ...

Seconded that. I was really hoping one of the Deceptions would win, but especially the giant robot dinosaur. It has nothing to do with my love of kaiju movies, I swear. >.>

Hey, I still use dedicated MP3 players rather than my smartphone. :swirly: When I decided to get out of the kiddy pool and got an Android phone I kept my old iPhone, stripped most of the apps off of it, and use that as an mp3 player. I'll be honest I did it mostly because I listen to a lot of audio...

Or Alpha Bravo with a new removable head. I got a snicker at this idea. A massive blown up Deluxe to Supreme class. No change in transformation or articulation. Like some weird Chinese knock off sold officially in stores. Of course it's not like Hasbro hasn't blown up smaller figures before into ne...

I always wanted that DOTM Leader Ironhide, but the handful of times I saw him I was broke. Glad to hear it is still a worthy toy. I've got mine on top of a bookcase. He's got Human Alliance Whirl as a pistol and Human Alliance Backfire as a shoulder cannon. Those basics do actually make for pretty ...

CW Prowl: Snagged him on the cheap. The original Classics Prowl is a bit of a mess and there is something amusing to me about having Prowl and Not-Prowl (Streetwise) made from the same mold. He's an almost complete reshell of Dead End/Wildrider. The engineering is the same, but a lot of the parts ha...

A good friend of ours has a young son that we foisted all my son's old Go-Bots (the toddler Transformers) onto a few years ago. They put up a video on Facebook of him getting them and I swear the kid about died from excitement.

Does anyone else's CW Sunstreaker's legs not sit flush together? Mine has a gap between them, which I don't have with Breakdown. It's moot in robot mode, and in car mode it's covered by the Kickpuncher as engine block. But, it leaves a nasty gap as Ultra Prime's arm. I'm wondering if this is a wide...

Spent a few hours with this game last night on my PS4. I'm really enjoying it so far. The difficulty ramps up and your choice of bot matters as each feels a different. The game is also frenetic. It just doesn't let up. There are brief exploration sections, but combat is never far away, and when it s...

I always thought that Broadside's "cruiser" mode looked reminiscent of the SDF-1, especially some of the early concept art.

CW Ultra Magnus I like this guy a lot. I'm not caught up in the comics so I'm not 100% sure what the deal with the little guy in his chest is all about, but it's nice to have a Magnus that scales decently with Voyager Prime. He's got his flaws but I'm really pleased with him. RID Legion Underbite W...

I was so tempted to suggest a team where the limbs were all Alpha Bravo repaints. With Silverbolt (they could stick a couple of helicopter blades on his back) as the torso of course. Retool Silverbolt into Highbrow. Who gives a fig if Highbrow wasn't a combiner. I mean, after all, neither was Sky L...
