Re: The Transformers Partwork Discussion Thread.

It's been announced the series is extended to issue 100!

Certainly the rest of LL/OP/Unicron, plus implied G2 and the Hasbro Shared Universe crossover stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ends on a couple of Ruckley volumes as well.

Re: The Transformers Partwork Discussion Thread.

Yeah, found that RID volume a slog, despite enjoying the Soundwave flashbacks. The pacing remains terrible, the same "Dawn" happens three times!

Re: New Death's Head Limited Series

It's Zama, so visually it's going to rock.

Good or bad I assume it'll meet the fate of all comics with Death's Head in and not do quite well enough for any more, but it should be fun in and of itself.

Re: Transformers (2019-?) #1 [SPOILERS]

Seven issues in, and I think Ruckley has gotten the hang of comic pacing now, And I'm actually quite enjoying it. It's a lot less dense than the Roberts/Barber stuff, but it's nice and breezy and fun.

Quite like pissed crazt Cyclonus as well.

Two weeks ago I managed to get hold of the Studio Series version of the man, the myth, the legend, the Cogman.

What else can I say, but best toy ever made?

I'm still amazed they thought the Dark Pheonix thing hadn't been done well enough first time but got the same writer to script it.

Now, Batman Forever. There's a movie my fine friends.

Re: Movie thread, or; what movie did you watch last?

As I've been rewatching the Batman movies, I think it's vitally important you all know Batman Returns is actually a bit shit. Don't be fooled by anyone trying to trick you into thinking it's a clever classic. The best stuff is all to do with the Mayor Penguin bits, which still a 40 minute chunk of t...

Re: Avengers : Endgame

I'm not remotely up to date, but I loved it. What Marvel have achieved is one of those things that's only going to look more impressive as time goes on and more attempts to copy it fail and die on the vine. Even I got emotional during the final battle. I now want a Goodnight Sweetheart remake about ...

Hornet! A film about a yellow alien robot found by some teens, helping to save the world.

Something very familiar about all that.

It has the most amazing ending of any film ever:

Re: So...are the Hasbro crossovers relevant?

I don't think anyone gave much of a hoot about the crossovers. MTMTE/LL work fine without them, OP/Unicron are nice interpretive performance art if you've not read them.

Re: Latest Music Purchases.

Picked up some record store day stuff last week! Inlcuding: Spellbound soundtrack. Not a "Everyone can hum it" Hitchcock score, but still a nice olde full orchestra effort. Star Trek 09 soundtrack: Fucking rocks dudes. Such great fun big music. Transformers 1-3 soundtracks: Sadly not the s...

Re: Who's buying all these Funko Pops?

I've gotten the Bond ones because Bond collectables start at two foot dolls wearing real clothes with skin scraped from Sean Conerry's foot and priced at $500.

On the other hand, I picked up the Bond From Dr. No (which seems to have been a rare exclusive?) Pop for £8 this week. Bang.

Re: Transformers (2019-?) #1 [SPOILERS]

I still enjoyed it, despite you making some very good points, especially about the odd reaction to the murder. I guess I'm just enjoying the amiable meander through Cybertron at the moment. A lot will depend on how the story plays out though. Calling Wheeljack as the killer. Someone with at least th...
