But then that would've meant that Moore's collaboration with Godzilla would have fallen through. You don't want Moore to collaborate with Godzilla?

It cuts out everything that wasn't in the manga, more or less, and as a result is paced extraordinarily better. Been watching it on NickToons and found that I didn't miss much of anything that was removed, at least from what I could remember. Though my love for DBZ extends little further than the ol...

Try Resolute. It was written by Warren "I have no clue who any of these characters are and have license to do as I please" Eliis. Supposedly it's good. I've not seen it yet. It's good and bad. Animation is terrific and the action is choreographed really well. Story is pretty cut and dry s...

The problem was that he was helping with writing and directing The Incredible Hulk when nobody asked him to.

Hard to be bothered, he was fine as Banner (though him being upset at the dull stuff getting cut out suggests he didn't really get it) but not as much a standout as RDJ was as Stark. It'll take some really amazing performances by Captain America and Thor for the Avengers not to basically be Iron Ma...

I was never especially enamored with him in "The Incredile Hulk", anyway. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. I just felt nothing. In fact, I felt that way about mot of the cast for that movie, saw whatsisface that turned into the Abomination and otherwhatssface that was hinted at becoming the Leade...

I'm more worried about this plan to make two films of The Hobbit . It's not a big sweeping epic, it's a simple funny kids book. They'll never make four hours plus out of it without missing the entire point. I love the old Rankin Bass cartoon. I adore that thing. And outside of cutting Beorn out and...

I really don't have much of an attachment to Robert De Niro. I've never seen any of his big time movies that made him famous. Yeah, that's right, I've never seen the Godfather trilogy, Heat, Casino, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, The Deer Hunter or Taxi Driver. At least not all the way through. What I hav...

I remember thinking it was funny, but I haven't seen it since high school, so I might have outgrown it by now. I dunno. As for Norm MacDonald, he's a good comedian, but I echo the opinion that he isn't a very good actor. Not all comedians can or should make that transition. Steven Wright is amusing,...

DON'T DO IT!!!! Or an I thinking of Infinity War? Meh, same basic thing. IT'S NOBODY ELSE'S FAULT, SO DON'T DO IT!!!!! FREEZE! Well, I don't have any interest in picking up Infinity War or Infinity Crusade, the sequels, so I may be saving myself that bit of torture. But Infinity Gauntlet is one of ...

Just finished rewatching all 26 episodes of Cowboy Bebop and the movie for the first time in four or so years. Man, that's about the closest thing to a "perfect show" I've ever seen. Well, the English dub, anyway. Also recently finished reading the Rebirth of Thanos/Thanos Quest arc and it...

If he's a Vertigo fan, and an Alan Moore fan, then you should get him a copy of DC Universe: the Stories of Alan Moore. It's a selection of most of Moore's non-Vertigo, DCU stories and it's mostly very good stuff. It has a lot of mainstays in there, like The Killing Joke, For the Man who has Everyth...

I'd highly recommend Johns' Green Lantern stuff. It does a lot with continuity, tying a slew of disperaging elements together into a cohesive mythos, but it's executed in a way that's still accessible to newcomers while encouraging them to take an interest in the older stories he's deriving material...

I feel kind of guilty in that I've only ever seen the crap he's produced ("Super Mario Bros", "Speed", "Land of the Dead") with "A Bug's Life" probably being the only genuinely good movie of his I've ever watched. Yeah, I've never seen "Apocalypse, Now&qu...

Oh yeah, I could definately see that. Though Fury is sort of like the side of James Bond people tend to disperage now n days. The sci-fi equipment, the super villains, the outrageous doomsday devices, etc. Fury falls into a weird niche, is all. He's a super spy but he is anything *but* the "gro...

Marvel Studios aren't rebooting the Spider-Man film franchise, Sony is. Marvel Studios doesn't have the rights to produce films based on that character (Marvel Comics licensed him out to Sony indefinitely so long as they continue to produce films and don't stop for a determined period of time, in wh...
