Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Waruders! (or War Riders!) https://imgur.com/a/lQ3v2N8 (3 pics + 3 cat pics) https://i.imgur.com/Hsq7tU8.jpg I picked these up a few years ago fairly cheaply from BBTS. It was $160 for the set of four, or $40 a piece, which is the same as the Seacon limbs later or even the Legends versions of the De...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

I got a movie MP Starscream in the mail the other day. I will call him King Dorito. If you're old like me and still have the 2010 leader Starscream, it's broadly similar to that. The biggest difference is using the volume inside the jet to store those little engines that end up on the robot's back i...

Re: Site content and community revitalization project

How about 3 different YouTube shows one based on the TV shows, the second based on the comics, and the third based on toys? With different hosts and then maybe a a monthly Twitch show where the hosts could do a show together. Also I know Twitter and Facebook are dumpster fires but TFA NEEDS an acti...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

I agree! But it's also dependant on the toy doing something cool, you know? A lot of older toys aren't very well articulated (or they're articulated but not poseable because of bad range of motion) but they're still fun. With modern toys...well, they don't do anything, for the most part, so poseabi...

Okay, cool. I sent an email to the info@ email address. Curious as to what you think of the idea.

Re: TFcon Los Angeles 2022 announced: March 11–13

How big has TFCon been in the past? I recognize that the first post-pandemic (hopefully, knock on wood) convention will be an absolute wild card, but I'm curious.

I have a content idea that may or may not be a good fit.

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

My main takeaway from this is that Rampage is huge . Not as big as you'd think. He takes up a large area on account of the legs, but those are actually pretty spindly. Most of the mass is in the claws and body, which is roughly the same as Depth Charge. https://i.imgur.com/pV3dSRG.jpg Though to be ...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

And thinking on it, my small quibbles have more to do with--okay yeah, personal preference--but also the overall set's "complexity", and not the individual dinos lacking smaller robot modes or extra features. It's not just you and Magmatron. That's a common observation about the BWNeo lin...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Beast Machines/Dinobots Magmatron Secondly, and I knew this coming in, but aside from a few minor gimmicks--like "Landsaur" being able to launch tongue missiles--the separate dinosaur components don't have a whole lot going on, including individual, smaller robots to fiddle around with. T...

Yeah, I spoke too soon. A good twelve hours after my shot, I had an episode of fever/chills/shivering for six hours or so. Seems to be over now... hopefully...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

Got shot #2 today. I don't feel like I'm dying or anything, but holy crap is my arm sore...

Apparently I go back for a booster shot sometime in September. I'm guessing I'll have to schedule that one as it gets closer.

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

SS72 Starscream (from the Bumblebee movie): I liked the Blitwing figure and expected this to be very similar, but it really wasn't. It's fun in its own right and looks pretty nifty too. The alt mode reminds me of the T-16 Skyhopper Luke's playing with in ANH... it's very swooshable . Yeah, it's lik...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

so we still don't know the effects on them in a large scale over a period of time. We still don't know the long term effects of covid19, but those are likely far worse. It isn't even like the vaccine stops you spreading it. It simply lessens the symptoms people have and as I'm said I'm happy to acc...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

The reason I asked is because the first-wave BW toys just felt so uncharacteristically...unwieldy, I guess. Unwieldy is a good word for them. I understand what you mean. Enough so that I was wondering if a completely unfamiliar design team had done the whole job, as with the other toys you mentione...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

I found the new BW Dinobot, G1 Inferno, and BBmovie Starscream Friday. They're neat. But Wednesday, I had Combiner Wars Devastator show up since Amazon has them in stock again at the original MSRP. He's big, but underwhelming. I have the 12" bootleg version Denyer recommended so I knew what to ...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Cybertron is last, and honestly least too. All of these figures feel exactly like Armada Wheeljack did: really cool designs that are twice as big as they should have been... The fact that so many Cybertron designs were so successfully downsized to Legends of Cybertron figures without losing any of ...

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS

Here's some Q&A from the hasbro people after the fan event thing: https://tformers.com/hasbro-transformers-roundtable-titan-class-beast-wars-shattered-glass-studio-series-86-more/41148/news.html Nothing really substantial or concrete, but just that they want to make more 1986 movie bots and more...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

Work's starting local distribution tomorrow (Fri). I don't know if this means I'll be able to get me 2nd dose here, or if I'll have to go to Groton again. I checked the website for local distribution, and there's no days in my 2nd dose window. I dunno. I got my first shot on the 1st with instructio...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Also, I'm not sure how much of today's cooperative relationship between Hasbro and Takara was in place at that point...with the production of Beast Wars being farmed out to Kenner, did they still use Japanese sculptors and engineers for the Western figures? Or was all of that done in-house for four...
