I don't know about the off model part, I know which episode you're talking about, I've seen the episode and I didn't notice anything wrong with it. It's never been dubbed but you can find it online with fansubs. I thought it was a pretty good episode but apparently Tomino can't stand it. As for bei...

Guys, on the topic of GUNDAM 0079, i ve seen screenshots of a particuarly infamous episode of Gundam in which the art is completely off model. I read online that the episode was disavowed by the creator himself and left out of subsequent video releases. But there is bound to be the episode on at lea...

Both lists show only semi-sentient mecha. Eg: Mecha that are still piloted by humans but are capable of limited independent action or seem to "have a mind of their own". Kinda like Evangelion where the mechs are primarily piloted by kids but in dire situations, the mech's sentience takes o...

are you ****ing kidding me  lemme see, the robots in bot-master aren't mecha and i really don't like homegrown bots, I want my giant robots to have originated from another planet, that kinda adds to the mystery, know what i'm saying? so they're not applicable which leave us with the last two y...

There's also another wheelie link in issue 7 of RID - the alien he befriended in the spotlight is of a race that can build time machines. Maybe the big event for this era of IDWs transformers is to build towards the Lost light crew releasing Unicron from the Crypt (pure guess work on that) or somet...

I think Unicron is probably going to be showing up. In that story set in the distant future there's some reference to Wheelie being the first Autobot to see 'The Great Destroyer' or something like that, presumably a reference to whatever happened that drove him mad As it looks like that plot is fin...

I think it was a "Across the board" decision by Hasbro.

Madness for both really, from different methods. Where as Maximus was torn apart and humilated, Grimlock (I gather from issue 4 of Wreckers) was made to watch all the executions and torture of the Autobots at G9 without being able to intervene - which Snare guesses made Grimlock mad. True. I do how...

I might be missing something here, but wasnt it supposed to be Grimlock that was driven mad by torture at the hands of overlord and not Fort Max? Anyhow, i do LOVE how Roberts follows up on the continuity. The "basement" must be Overlord's chamber. I hope there's a good backstory on him, a...

I was actually quite hoping for something along these lines as well. The dead universe could have been one of many that had been devoured by Unicron, much like what we saw in the armada storyline. I was also expecting/hoping that Galvatron would after having absorbed the "darkness" eventu...

Doing what Masterforce ultimately did would likely have been the best bet, bringing things back down to Earth and basically pretending the future space stuff never happened* (the virtual ignoring of the transformers to focus on a bunch of kids side of what Masterforce did being less of a good idea)...

So the final part of this hit yesterday. Anyone here read it? Hope so, because IDW were oh so clever with the final battle between Prime and Megatron. Despite a rather poor finish I enjoyed some of this. Art was suitably gloomy and the middle issues are quite fun. It does effectively rule out Blurs...

Very true.. also, the voice-actor issues really have hurt the Gundam series in recent years as well, which you really wouldn't see in American releases. Sayla Mass was effectively written out of Gundam due to some internal conflict with her voice actress and Tomino. Also, apparently there was a pre...

Oh sure, I'm just saying I can see why people would regard it as being something that could have easily been followed up on. It's easy to imagine a fourth season 4 episode with the Decepticons launching a new campaign of Saturday morning plots from Scorponok that would have been seen off by the Aut...
