Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Tripredacus Tripredacus gets my vote for one of the most coherent combiners ever. The individual bugs all look like... well, they look like the bugs that they're supposed to look like. The individual robots are all great too. All that sort of ball-jointed, weird looking Beast Wars-sy goodness, and ...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it’s due to rights issues. In the UK? Here's some advice.
Ah well.

Re: Which of Your Transformers can pull off the best "Naruto Run"?

You at least need the pacifier bot . Yes I do. Do you still use a dedicated camera, or do you have a smart phone? I haven't used a stand-alone digital camera since getting the latter because the picture quality for what I need (taking pictures of cats and robots) is more than enough. I know s...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Looking at secondary market prices now, a lot of my beast wars stuff is really like a dragon's hoard... Only increasing in trade value, but I'll never part with it without being slain by adventurers, lol.

It's a relaxing, zone-out kind of game. I really enjoy it.

Saaades, make him play it. Make him. Then he will know how relaxing it is!

Re: Hound's backlog

Yeah, that's basically what my confusion has always been. I never really knew it was distinct console from the Wii until the Switch came out and I read some about it. I mean, I saw the games in the stores, but I guess I figured it was a beefed up or streamlined version or something of the thing I al...

Studio Series 86 Hot Rod -And to be fair, he is pretty close to being that "Mini-Masterpiece" folks are clamoring on about. I've had some thought that they like to figure out the masterpiece design first, then walk it back for regular retail stuff. Hot Rod, Beast Wars Megatron, G1 Inferno...

I like your Insecticon/Scarem repaint! Is it just the green parts you painted? https://i.imgur.com/2bV3cJu.jpg This picture is great! Manterror is so much fun. It's weird, but it really feels like they deliberately chose the least interesting toys to feature in the first season of the TV show. So ma...

Come to think of it, the Netflix show wasn't advertised at all, was it? I only knew it was a thing because of the Walmart-exclusive toys that were supposed to cash in on it.
Oh, how far we've come, from using a tv show to advertise toys to using toys to advertise a tv show... :p

Hooray, enthusiasm! I understand the rushing urge to DO ALL THE THINGS, but I know we (myself, SCSW, and others) have already been through that phase. We've dialed it back to a rough plan that's both actionable and within the knowledge base of what we know how to do and what the website and forum le...

Site content and community revitalization project

Hello all, Over the course of the pandemic, I know I have, like so many others, been cooped up in the house with the internet being my primary mechanism for social interaction. As terrifying as that sounds, it has given me some time to reflect on our little forum here and how we've gone about updati...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

The relatively weightlessness doesn't bother too much, but it's incredibly short for a deluxe. There's maybe 80% of the plastic there would have been in an equivalent figure a few years ago, Longer term, it's much worse than that. Took this pic today to show the point. $20 in 2004 versus $20 in 202...

Re: Revisitation: The IDW Original Continuity Retrospective.

Issue #6 and mini series thoughts: I liked how threats have been scaled throughout the mini series. The initial duo being Runabout and Runamok vs a single autobot and some human kids frames them as quite frightening, shortly thereafter overshadowed by Skywarp and Blitzwing being actually effective a...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Oddly enough with Mindwipe, it's not the soft rubber parts that make the wing tips. It's the hard plastic on that hinge that's fragile. I know mine broke on one wing, but not other.

It is, however, quite fixable at least.

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

Titans Return Mindwipe, and Wolfwire. Careful with these. Weirdwolf's basically guaranteed to have a part break around the cockpit, though it's mostly cosmetic because the piece is made of two different materials. Mindwipe's wings may also become very fragile over time, though it's not clear what p...

I never gave an update on my doctor appointment! Because I'm still waiting! I had my appointment on the 8th, and we concluded that given the time frame and the duration of my loss of taste, I most likely had covid sometime in early January, but was already recovered enough to not test positive by th...
