Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

WFC ER Thundercracker & Skywarp: Nice set I was able to order off Target's website. They go great with ER Starscream, but I can't imagine continually buying more of this mold, even the coneheads. Glad they brought back silver on these two; I wasn't keen on the grey used in the Siege ones. I lik...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Studio Series Overload. He's a big, honking dude and I like him. Seems a bit unbalanced to the forward and back, but I think I just need to get used to positioning the arms properly to distribute weight.

Now I just need Skipjack to ship so I can put together Devastator!

Re: [The video game thread]

So, I decided to try my new SNES controller. My SNES won't start. I tried different games, different controllers. Nothing. I think the last time I played it was around Labor Day (early Sept) when I got a new TV and was making sure I had everything hooked up correctly. Donkey Kong Country had lost a...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

WFC Netflix Hotlink w/ Heatstroke & Heartburn as a gift from my wife. Nice set, overall. Hotlink has a really unique deco: most of the plastic is black, but he's got various shades of purple in interesting patterns. Surprisingly there's a lot of paint on this figure compared to a lot of the mas...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

The school's going virtual/distance learning for a couple days. Hopefully schools like the ones Sadie's daughter and Warcry's son go to that open in September are watching and learning from this school's mistakes. Opening a school just long enough to cause several covid cases, then closing again is...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Earthrise Optimus Prime Quite a wonderful figure. Not that the fandom needed another Optimus, but this one is really well done. I was quite pleased with the Siege version, but I like this one even better. Articulation is great, and you can really get this guy into some fantastic action poses. I lov...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

I'm behind others on piecing together the Studio Series Devy, but yesterday I got SS 42 Long Haul and SS 41 Scrapmetal in the mail. Due to the heavily overpriced aftermarket costs, I went the route of KO's for these. I would prefer to have the real ones, and honestly I was worried that the quality w...

Re: [The video game thread]

I only found that I could play Skyrim via Switch. At least it was portable, I could play for short chunks, and also long chunks here and there. Good game, IMO, but I likely won't play a second time. I also bought Overcooked! on the Switch last week on a good sale. Mostly because my kids played it at...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

After getting SS Mixmaster, I've been impressed enough to hunt down the rest for SS Devy. I was able to find SS 60 Scrapper and SS 55 Scavenger at Walmart the other day. I like them both. Scavenger has such a strange design, but it's really quite fun. The lower wheel rotates well on carpet and the a...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

SS 49 Bumblebee Nice figure. I basically feel the same way about this figure as SkyQuake mentioned, so there's no need to retread that. SS 51 Soundwave Another good solid figure. The transformation is simpler than other SS figures I have, but in a good way. Even though he doesn't show much col...

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions

Lego Speed Champions! How did I not know this line existed? My son bought the 75891 Chevy Camaro (like a stock car), which I thought was rather solid and great looking. So in order to race him, I picked up the 75890 Ferrari F40 . Both cars are really slick, and fun to build. To increase our garage, ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

My kids got me a new toy for Father's Day (which seems funny, right?): Studio Series 53 Mixmaster . Quite nice, and I kinda like his insect-like robot mode. I first thought the transformation/pegging was going to be a chore like it can be with SS Barricade, but I figured it out and he snaps together...

Re: [The video game thread]

A couple new pickups over the last few weeks: Ratchet & Clank (PS4): Half off sale. I wanted something lighthearted to play with the kids, and it does the job. God of War (PS4): Also half off, but on disc through Amazon. Not kid friendly (LOL) but a very good game. Haven't played too much of it,...

Re: [The video game thread]

A small sale and I downloaded the last map for theHunter: Vurhonga Savanna . Haven't played it yet, but I will in time. There's also the Days of Play Playstation sale starting tomorrow here in the States, so i will check that out (not that I need any more games, but c'mon). And if I hadn't mentioned...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Cliffjumper is a lot of fun. Just a nice lil boy. You soon forget about his size when you're whooshing him around on his skis. He surely is! Out of my new Transformers, he's the one I fiddle with the most. I love that your 7 year old can see the value in Cliffjumper that most of our fandom has comp...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

Got 76141 Thanos Mech at Dollar General. Like the Classic set I mentioned above, it has a sticker saying it's only intended for sale at Dollar General. I find it hard to believe that DG would get not only a LEGO exclusive, but a Marvel exclusive Unless there's something special about that particula...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Haven't bought a TF in a while, but came across Earthrise Wheeljack and Cliffjumper . Both are nice. Solid figures with good articulation and simple transformations. Wheeljack is quite good, and I like that he's a slightly off-white. Nice paint apps too. It's been said here before: Cliffjumper is ti...

Re: [The video game thread]

Craving some sports these days, I picked up NBA 2K20 for Switch. It's NBA... with a new year. I probably won't be able to tell much difference yet between this and 2K19, but hey, new is better! Sure, the game will look much nicer and run at 60 fps on my PS4, but I enjoy the portability of the Switch...

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions

A few Lego things over the last handful of weeks: Major Vonreg's Tie Interceptor (75240): Nice ship, great colors, fun build. Not a whole lot of play features aside from swooshing and missile shooting, but that's to be expected. The wing design is awesome and very solid for swooshing. Came with Vonr...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

Inspired by some of Tantrum's recent customs, plus I haven't done any customs myself lately, I've made a couple things. First is Darth Vader's Tie fighter, which I scavenged parts off of my old Tie Fighter 7263 as well as parts I had on hand. I used a basis of the older 8017 set mostly because I had...
